Hey @Gowron - knock it off with the name-calling.
Also, Warhorse is not ripping anybody off. They are actively working on multiple issues.

My god. They will patch it. They arnt “fucking” anyone over. This buisness, insert any buisness name, they are in it to make a profit. You dont make a profit long screwing over customers. The mindset of I want it perfect and I want it now, are pedestals that we have no issue demanding of others but couldnt attain ourselves. If your life is so simple that all your concerned with is a video game, step back and reevaluated your life. The anger here is ridiculous. Keyboard warriors swearing, ridiculing and being downright childish.Really over the top. Over a video game. How bloody immature can people be.
And the PS4 seems to be the console wich encounters that Problem a LOT.
If only ud bought an Xbox lol jk. I’m u watching this post. Shits getting out of hand.
The game has a lot of problems, but to me it gave at least 40 hours of gameplay before I stumbled upon a single glitch. The game is in better condition than Andromeda, Arkham Knight, Assassin’s Creed Unity and a lot more AAA games. Remember, this is not a AAA company, they weren’t rich, they didn’t have a lot of money, the CEO isn’t considerably rich, they did what they could, and the ideas were great, they fixed a lot of gamebreaking bugs and fixed some optimization on the first day. They’ve probably learnt aswell that in the future, they should make sure the game is as bug free as possible.
I understand what you are saying on human side but honnestly as a customer I can’t hear that argument of “They did what they could”. As a company, if your final product is unfinished you should’t charge it full price. On the other side as a customer, accepting that kind of practices directly leads to mediocrity.
So what’s your solution when the game would normally be $60? You can’t very well charge $40 then demand $20 more later on once the kinks have been worked out. You could say that’s tough luck for the company, but they’re still working on things. It’s Deep Silver that forced things to be held to the February release. You think they’re going to just give an immediate discount?
I’m not talking about any kind of discount and as a baker like you I can’t be completely neutral about this game. But what is clear for me is that if I pay 60$ for a game, then I’m expecting a finished product, and it’s clearly not the case for the moment.
A large number of video games these days are no longer completely finished products upon release. That’s just the nature of the industry now in an online-based gaming world where a game can go gold but there are still things being fine-tuned after that. This is why there are day-one patches. This is why many games routinely get patched multiple times after they come out.
If people are going to make a stink over this game being full price, they should be making a stink over other games like Destiny 2, Fallout 4, Skyrim, The Division, and so many others also being full price at launch when they all received numerous updates to improve gameplay and fix problems (or in the case of Destiny 2, a game that’s been out half a year now and it still has major problems that go beyond just bugs or glitches).
You might as well spit into the wind with this line of reasoning, because companies are not going to release games at a discount just because things still need to be tweaked after games go gold. If it’s that big an issue for anyone, stop buying games new upon release and wait for the updates to hit and prices to go down after a few months, or buy used.
Indeed, I’m not talking for this game in particular but since about 3-4 years I’m always waiting months for buying games. More and more customers are doing this too because they are becoming more and more beta testers, unfortunately it a vicious circle where products will be released the more and more unfinished but still at full prices, and on the other side they will not be bought by customers that will wait months and months to buy a final product half the price. We will see when Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 will be released, but I fear that they didn’t inspire trust with this first game regarding it’s quality and it’s price.
70 hours, no gamebreaking bugs at all, only time my horse stops is if I don’t jump over thick bushes or fences. I one time landed on a fence and couldn’t continue, so I saved and reloaded as I use to do when this happens in similar games, and everything was fine. (you still can get stuck on stuff in wow and that was released in 2004). Can ride quite well in the woods and so on. Guess I’m just lucky then. As for the price, I payed around 40$.
Or maybe I’m just old and used to games not holding your hand all the time as it was back in time
Remember the days when we cannot get through a mission or quest in game for a weeks. Just because game did not tell us how to do it. I remember the feeling when we figure out how to pass the quest. It was unbelievable moment.
These days players are too lazy to figure out how to play. Game tutorials and tips or hints are everywhere and if we use our brain, game revert us to mission start because we did not use a tutorial tips.
Now there is a game where player need to use his brain to resolve quest. And lot of people are lost…
Wow good for you. No gamebreaking bugs. I guess me and the countless other people are just making it up then. The company themselves must have just apologized for the hell of it too. And with the hand holding thing, just stop. You’re not some god gamer because you play a game that’s slightly harder than average. I like my games difficult, and this game isn’t very hard at all after the first few hours, actually it becomes way too easy, so don’t infer that I’m angry about the game not “holding my hand” because that couldn’t be further from the truth and has zero to do with my post.
I remember years, when failing in playing means lack of skills on your side, now is because game code is broken.. and if is so easy, you could just code for as mod to fix broken quests..
If you are lucky and not met major bugs enjoy it could change very quickly, my game completely broke after 150h and when i reach some point in story, it constantly crashing, even use hours old save, dont help… and on the way i just met lots of bugged quest too… but i survived… I invested quite a lot time to debugging and beta testing… I remember only one worse games it was Daggerfall, but it was in 1996 and development tools improved a lot from that time and i was created by smaller team, in less time and game was much bigger. Even Stalker was less broken.
Interesting, I and several others have no specific problems, but that doesn’t mean we say that there aren’t any. I said I havn’t encountered any gamebraking bugs. Please learn the difference.
I never said I was a god gamer, I’m quite an old gamer but certainly not a god My point was not that it is hard, my point was that games back in the day was quite buggy, but you learned to play around the bugs even though many were gamebreaking.
But when you mention it, I’ve seen several people complain about that the game is hard in the beginning if you don’t handle things correctly, the beginning is quite scripted and therefore some people may need a hand to hold, didn’t say you needed one.
An advice, stop bashing out on everyone that don’t have the same bad experience that you are having, be happy for us instead.
My game is not broke at all like that, so what I think is that you should try re installing the game (unless you already have) and you might have less bugs. My game only has a few problems (these would be texture pop in and Henry flying up a little when mounting a horse.) Believe it or not, the second glitch doesn’t happen any more and the first one is not as severe as launch. I do not have a clue why some people have bugs and others don’t, but I’m guessing that if you re install it might make a difference.
Bugs could be easily replicated on multiple computers… so reinstall will not help.
Problem is maybe is someones progress through game is so boring that do not anything what is not expected by scripts
Hell yeah! Speak the truth to these imbeciles that have no clue on how to create a good game. Janky ass shit!
Speak the truth? (This post not written specifically to you)
Hahaha
All the people coming here to complain…
Standard internet affair. If it works; play on! If it doesn’t do internet search for the issue and find a bunch of potentially like minded people to share your issue with.
Ideally if tonality of conversation remains calm, helpful people will chime in with how to fix…
Two posts up; saying it is broken on other systems therefore I dont have to fix it (especually when these types then go on to complain and ‘save others the hassle’) is a short falling with users… not product.
Sure product is fairly typical of large open world games. . Especially when they have side quests and countless playthrough methods. No amount of beta testing will find all issues. We need to give it some time in the wild. (As every other open world/large scale rpg does)
Yes this game may have launched a few weeks ahead of time… but I am happy it did. (I get to enjoy it now)
This game has a lot going right for it and VERY FEW THINGS going wrong for it.
The good far outweighs the bad.
We only have to look at how many people complain how sixty hours in they have major bugs (sixty hours you say?) Sure games with seven hours of total playtime launch polished- how hard is it to playtest a linear seven hour game?
I have been gaming since before 8 bit consoles and have played most platforms. RPGs are always the latecomers to a new platform. Why? So much work.
Hence no one touches them nowadays and the few good series we have had have been ‘dumbed down’ for the masses. (Morrowind》Oblivion》Skyrim as an example, for roleplay mechanics…each iteration being made more mainstream, and hence commercially viable.
One of the biggest issues facing this game is the crowd playing it.
Cryengine and beautiful and being shown to use multicore cpus really well. So lots of enthusiasts and tourists are coming by to see the nice looking game that makes use of their hardware. They may not be familiar with launch roleplaying games.
What we do know is that the devs are full on and making it happen. This isnt a ship and forget product. It is going to get there.
Personally I play skyrim with no crosshair. Always have. Prefer it. I hate save anywhere games generally as everyone finishes them overnight. (No challenge).
I do think a save and exit option should be here… life happens. (Many games allow this temp save option)
Otherwise; bugs?! Not that bad (par for the course, and dont let no rosy coloured glass wearers who have forgotten previous ordeals with older games tell you otherwise)
It is getting better and quickly.
Most issues that users are posting across the internet appear more likely to be game file fragmentation on consoles. Many games rerelease a ‘master file’ once majority of niggles are sorted and it can help performance.
I have no doubt this game will shape up.
I am not some entitled gamer either. Single parent who never buys new release games anymore (jaded by industry practices), and yet I think if KCD as one of my best ever rpg purchases. (Even better than interplay titles from yesteryear)
Lets be reasonable with our voices.
We have freewill. But lets not place our worldy anger onto a software title. (Unless it is Windows which is an actual issue for the planet to contend with)
Modern gamers who just want trophies and need to rip through games on launch for bragging rights are not this games intended market.
So far from it that not even the devs realised that demographic would prove the biggest issue on release.
Stop and smell the roses @}-/—
I didnt come here to change people minds, but a few here really should broaden their perspective. Would be helpful in the real world too
Yeah that is true, but to say you will never buy a product again is quite ignorant, if everyone would think like that, DICE, Bioware, Ubisoft and many more would be bankrupt.
