after you get to level 15+ ( i am lvl 20 + lvl 20 stealth lul) at lockpicking you just go into all the big stores (weapons , tailor , armourer ) and lockpick all their very hard chests which are super easy after you get to this level and steal all their money and worthly items . plus you can steal the millers money and dont have to sell stuff to them . i have 35k on me + 10k in the chest that i get when i buy a place to sleep at the tavern(i call it a safe chest) and i got a ton of stuff to sell which can get me over 100k easily . just lockpick everything lul .
Pretty much same with combat (kill, get stuff, sell stuff, repeat). But I didn’t get on lvl 20 so I don’t see it so heavily as you.
Same, way too easy to get rich once you get good at lockpicking/pickpocketing, second playthrough I plan to do no stealing of any kind. I’m only level 13 or something IIRC and have 35k+
i cant stop it thought lol . i have enough money to buy a city but i just keep on doing that xD
yep . i one stab every guard and 2 stab the heavy ones with the better gear with St. george longsword .
Good thing about PC there’s already a few mods to make the game harder.
Once u learn reprotese with an weapon combat is easy
Unless ur fighting Cuman always go for archers first
It’s how I made my groschen was selling equipment
Walk around with > 100k. Made most of it with killing bandits and cumans and sell their equipment.
Well, if you really want a ton of money, you can go alchemy. It’s very easy to reach 20 alchemy, as you get auto-brew on 10th level which allows you to just spam potion making. Gathering herbs around Rattay, you can get thousands of herbs a day to make thousands of potions with, which sell for a fortune, and you can buy almost everything you like within a few days of waking up at the mill.
The thievery route is good, though, as it gains you very useful skills in the process.
now, for reference, a Groschen was roughly equal to a Shilling. 100k Groschen would be roughly equal to 5k British pounds. May not sound like a lot, but unskilled laborers in the era would earn around 2 pounds a year. If we assume that 2 pounds is basically minimum wage, we can basically peg it at $20k a year in rough socio-economic terms. 100k Groschen would be worth roughly $50 million.
A full suit of ready-made Milanese plate would cost around 8 pounds in this time period. That’s around 160 Groschen. So, we can assume that Groschen in game are quite far off from the actual real world value. With 100k game Groschen you might be able to afford 15 plate suits, which would have cost roughly 120 pounds, or around $2.4 million in current economic terms.
So, yes, you’re still pretty wealthy, and have exceeded the revenue of most knights in the era, which would have been around $500k-$1mil depending upon whether or not they were on campaign and the economic value and development of their property.
I use alchemy to make money. I was a master herbalist before leaving Skalitz in the tutorial. You get some good perks with herbalism to and like you say, lots of money from potions.
