So I’ll be buying KCD again tonight because I bought it for the wrong platform when becoming a Kickstarter. I’ll be getting it for Xbox one X. So I would like to know what’s the pros/cons. I know it’s a bit buggy, it is a new game and also know it’s boring at first because of tutorials.
I’m loving it. HOWEVER, I’m playing on PC, and was able to mod lockpicking and saving. Lockpicking is almost impossible in this game, especially with a controller. Luckily I don’t believe you ever HAVE to lockpick something. There is always a few ways to do every quest but you will be missing out on some loot. I think they are going to patch that and the save system though. Other than that I love pretty much everything else about the game. Also, maybe I’m just lucky, but I am about 10 hours in and haven’t had a single bug. I haven’t even seen a pop-in, screen tear or crash.
I never found it boring. I do not know about Xbox 1 in terms of play, but it is a good game. Apparently the lockpicking is difficult on consol (i am on PC, and it’s fine for that…)
There are a lot of bugs though.
edit: in short, and omitting the bugs. A+ game. Easily better then witcher 3.
Ah yeah I heard plenty about lock picking with console. Lol won’t ruin my fun though. Thanks for letting me know your expectations and opinion!
Don’t think I’ll find it boring either, but it’s just what I’ve heard from some. Hopefully bugs get dealt with soon though. Thanks for your reply!
I haven’t found it boring either, at all. To me the story is actually pretty great so far. I like having a character that you have to play so they can actually tell a good story. That’s what games like Skyrim and Fallout are always missing to me, a great story.
On the Xbox one s here. Game is utterly amazing. Can’t stop playing. 60 hours in the game and I’ve barely touched the story line because I’m having too much fun doing other things. Just a few minor bugs for myself, nothing to complain about. But it’s a new game so what do you expect.
Absolutely a must buy if you like games such as oblivion and mount and blade. I’ll probably put 500hrs into this game easily lol.
I hope they add more to it down the road and dlcs!
60 Hours and no barley storyline? Sheesh I can’t wait. I knew I was going to like it, main reason Im buying it two times. Bugs are bound to happen to this type of game so I’m not going to sweat it. I appreciate your time and opinion!
I’ve done maybe like 2 storyline quests lmao. I’m having too much fucking fun. This game is everything I could have dreamed of
That’s what I’m talking about. Appreciate it mate.
Oh, but be warned! The initial 10-20hrs are harder than hell!!! After you get use to the difficulty and how the game works it’s wonderful. At first a single poorly armed bandit would kick my arse. Now I can kill an army on my own with time and effort and a bit of luck.
Dude, wtf? That’s a lot of cumans you’re killing off there. Not cool man
Just killed another 13-16, just putting bodies together, be prepared! Cuman SCUM!
No part of this game has been boring so far. Fast travel is tedious though.
How is this new lockpicking mod? Does just stop the vibration or what?
By now I will continue without mods, at least on the 1st run
Can you elaborate on the “fast travel is tedious” part.
Fast travel in this game is better than Skyrim for sure. It’s not instant travel. In this game you see your character traveling the road via map, occasionally coming across bandits, Cumans, battles, wayfarers, boars, and more. You can choose to keep moving (with a chance of failure) or Attack/interact
Well I keep a lot of things in my bed area at rattay, and it seems im just needing to fast travel a lot back to rattay for the alchemy table, and other things from the shops. Also the quests seem to be spread out a bit so I have to travel quite a bit. What would make it better is if it loaded the location while the travelling is occuring instead of the end. I know thats because of random events but a lot of times you can skip those events.
Not unless you’re attacked by bandits or Cumans which gives fast travel some excitement
True, but it just seems Im doing it too often. Idk what to think of it. If the character moved a little faster it would be nice.
