I’m only asking because I can’t currently play since I’m in the middle of the plague which is timed and ahead of my save is a cutscene that always crashes. I’d love to go collect eggs, but I won’t be able to do that until a new patch, so I hope they’re still available then.

Same here.
The only egg i can think of is this crap of a patch.
I was looking forward to playing this weekend and looking for painted Easter eggs. 
Well I hope it will last for a while because it will take some time for us console players before we get the patch.
