This is probably too soon to ask and i expect that this team is not so cash hungry, but you never know (i think that Mafia2 offered a lot of additional DLC’s? but probably this wouldn’t be Mr. Vavra’s fault), but any idea how many editions there will be of this game?
How many editions? Well, the game will be one, plus some goodies like swords, statues or coins, but Kingdom Come: Deliverance - Act 1 is the same. On the other hand if you count every tier on Kickstarter, we have already 15 editions…
So we will really need that spreadhsheet that Jim Sterling mentioned in his video to select which game edition suits the customer best?
To be honest, there might be different editions in different territories. For instance we cant buy every collectors edition in Czech Republic - we are small market and Czech distributors don’t always produce every edition, which is in English available for instance on Amazon.
To sum it all - yes, it is too soon to talk about number of editions now 
The developers mentioned it a lot of times in news/blogs that there will be two Acts following Act I of KCD. They will take a period of 9 months to make, according to what the developers said. Which will be in production post game release. You can consider them as DLC since they will add to the game. This is very far ahead since the game is still in development. Lets stay focus on the game and when it comes out we can start drooling for a second and third act.
dlc is basically buzzword for chit little items like textures and guns from ubisoft and ea games.
i think expansion would be more correct term.
