I rarely get ambushed when I fast travel and I just wondered if that’s normal. I’m about 50 hours in now and I got ambushed maybe 4-5 times altogether, although I often take longer routes (mostly between Rattay, Talmberg and Sasau). And it’s almost always a bunch of low tier bandits who get killed easily. Only once I had some tougher bandits who had plate armor and shields. I killed them but right after them some cumans came and killed me instead. xD Anyway I wondered, how often did you get ambushed during fast travelling? Is it because I almost never travel at night? And does the probability to get ambushed differ in different regions of the map?
Veeeery often (event after patch 1.3). I agree with you that in the rattay region there are major odds to be ambushed

With fast travel and with free roaming.
I get wayfarers riddlers knights merxenaries
Also bandit hold ups. Attacks on the road in wich you can intervene or not.
Cuman attacks on guards.
Cumans vs bandits
Stick up men without armor.
Carcasses on the road
Bodies on the road.
Really? Well I’m kinda glad it happens rather rarely to me. But I think the chances are higher if you travel at night and through the woods.
Oh sorry with ambushes I only meant the bandit/cuman attacks, not all the other events. I also get merchants, knights, the riddler and bodies on the road veeery often. 
For me it happens around the clock.
There are always some dumb bandits with bludgeons who try to attack me.

Nope not yet. I got a Sasau guards vs bandits once. At first I thought it was two bandit groups fighting each other so I just stayed and waited until they kill each other. When I realized that the remaining group didn’t attack me I got closer and saw that they were guards. I was like “Thanks guys for killing those bandits for me.” and started looting the bodies. 
The risk with a brawl.involving guards is hitting them.
You have to kill a whole regiment of guards just to escape.
If its cumans vs bandits you can practice your bow skills haha
Yeah but whoever fights, it’s always better to wait until only one group is left. That’s only strategic.

I haven’t been getting any fast travel events since the patch. The only people I see on the road are random wayfarers who I can’t talk to.
I just got ambushed, and they hit me and yelled at me for like 30 seconds while I got to look at a black loading screen. When I finally came out of the loading screen there were two bandits with maces pummeling me.
That was frustrating.

For me too… always happy to get in a fight and than its just one guy with a bludgeon who dies after two hits and has nothing off worth on him. Already feel sad about just defending myself.
Next time just resort to fisticuffs… never draw your sword… knock him out and steal his pants. It’ll teach him a lesson. Maybe… probably…
Yeah the loading while the game is already running is very annoying… had luck with bandits so far but almost got a problem with a guard cause aperantly i forgot to hide my weapon and was standing at night on the market place in sassau with my sword out, after fast travelling while a guard was screaming at me the whole time!

My answer is never, for me just like for a lot of other people the random encounters have disappeared completely. Consider yourself lucky if you get one everytime you fast travel to a location a little further away
there is a but apparently but not everyone is getting it…if I were you I would fast travel from Rattay to Skalitz and back…if you dont hit an encounter after that it’s safe to say you have the bug…which apparently should be worked out in 1.3.5/1.4 if I remember correctly. I didnt get any last night but I stuck to basically Rattay and Ledetchko and didn’t do much traveling, just some local quests…I’m gonna make the trip from Rattay to Skalitz tonight to do a quest for Kunesh and check my game
