How open world could the KCD be?

I wonder how much freedom we have in KCD
Will we have laws to be obeyed and what if we infringe them
The consequence of our actions, will it effect the overall gameplay experience
I would love to know

I’m pretty sure you can just roam the world, ignoring the main quest line from a certain point.
But yes ofcourse there will be laws. You cannot stroll around with your sword drawn in a village or a city. You cannot just start fistfights with guards around.
And stealing is possible, but this is also a criminal offence.
As far as I know it will be a 100 % open world RPG, you can go where you want to go and you can do what you want.

If you kill someone it will affect the society and the village, too
of course you cannot kill anyone

They said: You will be able to solve quests in multiple ways, kill most of NPCs or influence their day/night cycles. We have a complex system of reputation, relationships and law. You can influence local economy to an extent (price of goods).

Don’t forget on guards with no hidden cameras around and no villagers with direct úhone line to guards  Like in Skyrim.

I think you are mixing up open-world and sandbox. What you are asking IMHO are aspects of sandbox. Open world simply mean no corridors, no predefined walthrough and no artificial barriers world-space-wise - in other simpler words freedom of content consuming. Yes there will be quite a complex law system. In terms of world reaction, not in terms of “though shalt not: list of 698 separate rules”.

Would be cool if the character will be tortured, hung, drawn and quartered after committing certain crimes. Simply murdered by guards is a bit boring and simple.
