Not sure if it’s a bug or setting, but there’s a small orange dot in the center of my screen that I can’t get rid of. Anybody else have this?
yes , it just happened to me!! im so happy you have it too… haha… sorry i thought i was the only one… did you happen to download any mods… i downloaded the save mod and then as soon as i booted up i saw this
That sit there? It’s suppose to be there from what I understand - if that’s what we are talking about here
yeah… but i could of sworn it wasnt when i first played… sucks because i wanted to take screen shots… its also very annoying
You must have installed the mod that adds the circular reticulate to your hud. Just remove it.
note: that comes in handy for hunting and archery/combat purposes. That was the whole purpose of adding it to the hud.
I’m on the console here, no mods…
My reticle/pointer got much bigger too…(on Xbox).
No mods here on pc.
Now that’s really odd. I don’t know if the reticulate ever existed in vanilla game because I installed that nexus mod before launching the game. This video suggests otherwise
But since it was published on youtube on Feb 16, it’s hard to tell if this was a preview of the beta testing or the actual game after release over the weekend.
It’s possible the devs may have added this feature into the vanilla game. Because it looks like they may have changed/tweaked quite a few features before the game went gold. The PC console cheat access removal for one thing. Maybe the colored reticule already existed in beta testing (as in the video) but the devs decided to make it more visible before release perhaps?
Anyhow, watching some of the #EpicFail (aka PATIENCE) in that hunting vid was what made me decide to get something like this as soon as a mod was available.
Regardless, we really need a Fallout NV style uHUD/universal HUD which ties all hud screen elements together in a nice tidy package. Similar to New Vegas uHUD mod, this would immediately activate/turned on the hud elements by a single mouse click/keybord/console button press. And then immersively have them fade away after several seconds or so (provided the player isn’t in comabat where the hud elements may be needed).
