How to level pickpocketing

Whenever you come across a battle with surrendering cumans or bandits, wait until their opponents walk away or chase after those who flee. Then you go to work and start to pickpocket every crouching cuman/bandit. Steal one item at a time for maximum experience.

You can easily succeed with three to five attempts per person. Keep your bow ready if they notice you, although they are not likely to do so the first three times.

Keep in mind that when you pickpocket or kill surrenders, they count as civilians, despite being cumans and bandits – if you want your crime record clean. If you don’t care about that, you can finish them off with a stealth kill to gain some stealth experience.

I sleep people, and then I steal them, that increases the ability to steal pockets. And also increase stealth.

Visiting the Sassau Infirmary at night is my personal favorite (or favourite if you prefer). Take 1 item at a time, and you should be anywhere from 10 to 15 skill depending on your skill when you start and how much stuff the RNG puts on the victims.

You better not do it how he says until you are strong enough to fight back. Because if they notice you, all gang jumps at you and you are fucked. I pickpocketed crouching Cumans in hideouts near Skalitz and Rovna. Everything went well, I pickpocketed them happily, one of them was far away from me, so I closed distance, that is when he spotted me, I ran outside the building, but I was greeted with the rest of their gang. If not my brave horse, I would not get out of that situation whole.
As miller Peshek says, start with drunkards and those who sleep, do not pickpocket soldiers! That is stupid advise. And experienced players do not need advice how to pickpocket.
