How will striking certain areas affect combat?

So as i have mentioned before i am a huge fan of assassins and while i will be able to get some of this it seems i won’t be able to do a whole lot with it which is a shame but i am very glad you guys are sticking to your guns about historical accuracy as i often see game devs give in.

I would like to know however in combat if i strike an arm or leg lets say with a bow. Will it hinder or disable a limb? Or perhaps striking a man in the head with a mace what would that do as such things would have real life ramifications for such actions!

It depends on the armor. If you hit less armored areas than armored then yes, it will do much more damage. Also if you hit a specific piece of armor it damages it, so when you loot it the stats reflect how much damage you did to it.
As far as wounding people… I know in beta if you drained their health to a certain point they will run away kinda hunkered down like they’re injured.

But to say like just shooting someone in the leg with arrow idk if that means they’ll limp.

No flying heads and legs.

Well i was rather hoping to see a bit of brutal combat and ways of going about getting combat but not having to kill people. Like putting arrows through their knees… No skyrim joke intended. Perhaps striking a metal plated warrior in the arm could cripple the function of the arm entirely if enough damage is dealt to said limb. I mean if they are going to incorporate sleep, food and drink into the question why not make combat realistic as well? They are already planning on giving us a lot but i am hoping to see the combat system put many other games similar to this in style (In terms of combat.) Like skyrims hack and slash style that had no real difference between putting arrow in an eye or a toe. This game i would like to see something new where each part of the body is taken into account which could impose a myriad of penalties to both you and your opponents if not careful.
