Hunting the boar with Hans

so im at the point in the game where you are out in the woods with Hans hunting. he shoots a pig with a bow and arrow in a cut scene, when you get back to the game Hans takes on on his horse after it, and 2 seconds later i fail the quest before i even start running after him. Is it possible not to fail this quest?

I know the next thing that happens is he gets captured by the Cumin, tied to a tree, you kill the 2 dudes, untie him from the tree and my game goes to black screen with the spinny wheel forever. game broken. I cant get past this point in the story.

Im not sure which is worse, that i cant continue on with the game or the pig keeps getting away before i have a chance to do anything

No I think it’s automatic that you will fail that part of the quest, but it’s no biggy there’s no list of failed quests etc. etc.

yeah I’ve never seen someone not failing this quest
but the infinite loading screen is not good
Its a known bug… I hope they can resolve it with the next patch

ive tried killing those 2 dudes 15 different ways, waited over night, all kinds of different stuff. as soon as i talk to hans at the tree its the same thing every time. spin spin spin

It’s not related to this specific quest afaik
It just happens randomly at any quest or dialogue it seems
I havent heard the developer talk about causes but its a serious issue

No, you only fail that part when you have no horse.

Ah yes makes sense, I didn’t have a horse at that point :slight_smile:
