Oh well
I may try using my windows 7 dvd to install 7. maybe it will work. ive been conflicting on downgrading for a while and if this fixes my issue then i will
I have only little time right now and can’t direct you to the correct download site but try to google microsoft vcredist 64bit and download/install it, could be a missing visiual studio file. You don’t need to install windows 7, the game runs under windows 10 without any compatibility mode.
Maybe you have to deinstall your game, install the vcredist and install the game afterwards again.
Edit: Was easier to find than expected, should be this one(Visual Studio 2015):

A strange bug, not seen it before, this is something new. Thank you for showing us in such a detailed way!
This is very interesting and we will take a look at it. Maybe @Woody is also interested in this.
Well I’m sorry to say but I installed windows 7 and the game runs but this is bad for you because you won’t know what caused the issue.
If you have any questions I’ll speak from memory
I’m thinking this would have fixed my game.
Installing win7 has fixed your windows.
Game was fine…
Worked / hat funktioniert
I have the same problem and also have AMD Crimson, I verified the cache on Steam and it did find that a file was missing and it re-acquired for me - still wouldn’t run the game. I have also just downloaded and installed the so-called Crimson Hotfix 16.1.1 which has just come out, but still no luck running the game
Just wait for beta
Hello @fitzy467,
thank you for supporting the game.
You have a different problem.
It´s the AMD Crimson driver.
If you want to play the alpha you have to deinstall the crimson driver and install the older catalyst driver.
Depends on your windows:
For test deinstall the driver
http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/Radeon-Software-Uninstall.aspx72
and install this one:
http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop/previous/detail?os=Windows%2010%20-%2064&rev=15.7.12
Have fun with the alpha!
Or wait 2-4 weeks for the beta…
Hi there @posined,
sorry for the late reply. With BETA drawing near, it’s extremely busy around here. I’m glad you got your game running, however one should not have to downgrade his windows to be able to do so. I’ll definitely forward this so we can analyze it in detail .
Thanks very much @hound !
Your the best ;)!
I will reinstall Windows 10 when it comes out its not that big of a deal I wanted to go back for a little bit anyways. I’m sure if i updated now I would have no problems at all with the game as I’m sure my installation was pretty messed up. Anyways, when is the beta going to roll out and will it have any optimization improvements at first release or do you think that the optimization improvements are coming later?
Some optimization will definitively be in place, however you have to keep in mind it’s an ongoing process and there is still work to be done. Regarding the release date, I’m afraid I’m not allowed to disclose one yet .
Like Blacksmith mentioned, you have a different problem. If you don’t want do downgrade you AMD Crimson driver open your system.cfg file in your “Steam\steamapps\common\Kingdom Come Deliverance” folder with notepad++, search for the entry “–e_svoTI_Active = -1” and remove the “–”, add in the line below the following entry “e_svoTI_GsmShiftBack=0”. After that delete your “user_game” folder in your “Steam\steamapps\common\Kingdom Come Deliverance” directory and reboot your PC. Your game should start and run without problems, this worked with me and i’m running a Fury X with the latest Crimson driver.
Nice, good to hear that it worked! / Freut mich wenn es geklappt hat!
That was an amazing tip you gave. It worked for me. Well done and thank you very much.
Good to hear this worked for you too. But i think all the or should we say
goes to @DrFusselpulli. I think he was the first posting this tip, but i didn’t tryed it at first because it was stated it will crash the game especially if you are near water. The game is crashing if you just modify the “first” line but is rock stable if you add the “second”, perhaps i misunderstood him because english is not my native language.
Long story short, thanks to the team posting this workaround and have fun playing the Alpha till Beta arrives.
I also have this from another community Member and he does have it from some Crytek employee. But they can not guarantee that is workes fine, so this is not the solution we want to have.
But until the Beta arrives i can play the Alpha with the Crimson driver for hours without any problem, so it’s a good workaround until your workaround arrives.
