I can’t launch the game. When I push play in the steam I see KCD label and game just crush after 5 seconds without some message. Please I need help. reinstalled the game… instaled fresh DX.

For everybody’s potential benefit:
Something that got me for a moment was that I had to “validate” my game before it would load/recognise the .ini file necessary to boot up. I’ve never validated a game before. I don’t know what that means and I don’t want to. I bought it. I own it. If you’re reading this, WarHorse, it isn’t yours anymore. It’s mine. That’s validation enough for you people.
While the fix was simple and only took me 20 secs to figure out, it was still stressful so I’m willing to embarrass myself here for the benefit of others.

I’m getting the exact same problem. Why do I need to validate the licence, if I already paid for it. I’ve waited 4 days for the game + the day one patch to download. Very disappointing. If this doesn’t get fixed within the next few days, I’ll be refunding the game. This is unacceptable.
