I cant save/leave the battle mode

Hello!

After closing the battle mode the corners of the screen become red, the character has the full health, the weapon is drawn away, the character holds only the torch in hands but no matter whether you try to sleep or let some time pass there always appears a note: “you are in the battle”. The save button is also grey and the game can’t be saved, although before the battle I could save the game. Could you please tell me what is the problem and how to fix it? Can it happen because the enemy has fleed from the battle? Or could there be a button for finishing the battle mode? Thanks a lot!

Not sure, as it appears you have a wounded status despite full health?

The inability to leave battle is a beta ‘bug’ which results from multiple opponents engaging you and some surviving the encounter (either they run away, or you do). If you can find them (they may be ‘asleep’ in their camp) you can kill them - if you can do so without getting involved in another fight, then that might help…

It is possible that finding a new enemy and engaging and killing him alone, might count as entering/leaving combat too, otherwise you are out of luck and would have to restart (I’d suggest from a new game after clearing the savegames (at least as plan ‘B’ if you encounter further problems after a restart))

This is a known problem and has been worked on extensively for the final version. For now we have to work around what hurdles the game throws at us…

One last thing that might work would be to commit a (serious) crime in Samopesh and let the Balliff imprison you. This might also reset the status - or play in the arena with a borrowed set of armour? Really grasping at straws there though, and these can cause their own problems.

Yes it’s a known bug. (I’ve just had it)

But you can’t change this status by combatting again, I’ve tried.
My only solution was to…die or load an another savegame.
