I found a way to clear Talmberg Castle in the stealth mission

Instead of taking out the guards to the left, get spotted before Hans has a chance to get himself shot, bleeding out, and putting a timer on the mission.

You can’t open most of the doors, but the bandits can, so keep that in mind if you want to explore the entire castle. Toth isn’t there though, and neither are the hostages.

After killing all the bandits, and taking the castle, you can go back to the ladder, and you can have a conversation with Hans about how you didn’t do too well. The game continues as normal.

weird, I have killed all Istvan men that came out when the alarm was shouted, also killed peasants. Then suddenly after some time at the castle game ended saying I am traitor or something like that.

The peasants are from Talmberg, you’re not supposed to kill them. Once you kill all the bandits, you can talk to them.

Toth is supposedly in the tower, but the doors can’t be opened or lock picked. The bandits will open the doors for you though, which is how you can get there.

I also used the Cheat mod to spawn Toth. He is just wearing random peasant items. He doesn’t have your sword or any of the items you see him wearing in the cutscenes.

Another interesting thing, if you “die” on this mission, Hans carries you out, saving your life.
