I give up...this game is broken

I’m a reviewer. I started playing this game on PC and ended up with the game-breaking bug that wouldn’t let me sit or sleep. I contacted the Devs and the best they were able to do was send me a code for PS4. So I downloaded it and started from scratch, completely replaying the hours I had already put into it. Now, after another 77 hours, I started getting a bug that won’t let me go through doors. I’ve had this glitch before but I’ve always been able to fix it by kind of closing the door while I’m standing in the doorway and pushing me through. Not this time. I got stuck in an Inn, and when I went to load my last save game, it was gone. The last one was from the night before. So I shut it off and when I turned it on later, I played for a while and then the same thing happened again. I had to talk to the executioner for a quest, and am now stuck inside his house. I used a savior schnapps and then when I went to load that save file…it’s not there. so apparently my game is just completely broken and i can’t create any new saves.

I quit. if I was a backer and not a reviewer, I’d be demanding a refund. this game has great potential but how could you release it so broken?

I’m not a reviewer but one of backers from Kickstarter.

Remember Lydia? The professional doorblocker in a certain game?
Well man. This game has less bugs than that one.
And if developers here didn’t lie, we’ll see all bugs fixed instead of waiting on modders making unofficial patch that contains dozens of thousands of bugfixes. Like that certain bestseller.

You can always load previous autosave.

Yes, and I did, as I said. The problem is, I can’t create new saves at the moment, so there’s no point. I would have to finish the rest of the game in one sitting and without going into any buildings.

And pointing out that other games have more bugs doesn’t take away this game’s bugs. I have two literally unplayable versions of the game. Sure, it will be great once the bugs are worked out, but how do you release a full game in this condition? And this is AFTER two huge patches.

Love the Lydia compare thing

Anyone who starts by saying “I’m a reviewer” is usually not a reviewer.

Right?

literally

Man, will that Kardashians inappropriate word use stop?

The game is not unplayable. Sure, there is a fair share of bugs inside but patience, the game is huge and experiencing bugs in initial release was expected. A new patch is planned for next week.

Lol why would I lie about that? Also why would I purchase a second copy if the first one was broken? I provided that information for context, so you would know why I got another copy, but okay. Would you like to see screenshots of my emails from the PR rep?

Erm… No need for PR, this is “bugs” section.
In your case all I can suggest is checking Playstation forums if anyone found a workaround for corrupted saves on that specific platform. Or wait for the patch.

Except in this context I’m not using it in a hyperbolic sense… people forget that the word does actually have a legitimate use, and in this case, I use it to emphasize that I am not exaggerating that BOTH copies of my game are in fact unplayable. Maybe yours isn’t, and that’s cool for you. I have a LITERAL game-breaking bug in both copies.

I was directing that at the person who thinks I’m lying about being a reviewer.

I’ve played Skyrim, Witcher 3 and KCD all from launch day and Skyrim on 360 and my X and KCD has substantially more bugs than those two, by a long shot, I still enjoy KCD at times and decided to give them a chance to fix it after being pissed and having 75% of the bugs listed. I don’t think it’s right what they did but you have to make a choice to either get a refund or sit it out, nothing else you can do. Sitting it out and not getting a refund doesn’t set a good precedence though sadly as it just reinforces bad behavior.

Hahahaha Skyrim did not have more bugs than this game. I played Skyrim on both PC and Xbox 360, and even if there were bugs, they were typically resolved by loading your saves. This game is literally flooded with game breaking bugs. Save corruption, getting permanently stuck in buildings, saves not even saving, quest items being taken prematurely and ruining the affiliated quests, inifite loading screens. Those are a few of the most common game breaking bugs, and that doesn’t mention the countless other bugs. I’ve experienced more bugs in this game than I have any other game, and I’ve done A LOT of gaming. This is Alpha level quality in terms of the bugs. The game itself is beautiful, but dear god is it broken

So you bought a second copy?.. you just said WarHorse gave you a second copy for the PS4. Link some of your articles, if you wouldn’t mind. I would love to read some of your reviews.

Why does it matter if he’s a reviewer or not? He’s stating the game is broken in two different platforms, being a reviewer doesn’t change that fact.

You know, I suggest reading this book, although it’s not about videogames it has a nice fitting title:

And I guess modders who made that huge fixpack mod are stupid as there were no heaps of bugs to fix.

Actually the game has bugs on all platforms. So?
If the community didn’t find a workaround yet, wait for the patch.

In the meantime you can enjoy the video.

Wow, how sophisticated of you. Do you have that image saved, or do you just look it up every time you use it? I made it to level 49 on my first Skyrim playthrough on the bloody Xbox 360 without a single game breaking bug. In this game, I was forced to keep my individual saves to a minimum after being set back 10 hours in game time due to getting stuck in a building. I’ve killed entire camps on non responsive AI, I’ve been unable to complete a single archery competition since the first because the morons won’t pull from the quiver, I’ve gotten stuck in like 6 houses, I’ve been chased by guards for crimes I didn’t commit. Then, just an hour ago, all my saves that are remotely recent became corrupt. In fact, for all I know, they are all corrupt.

Go ahead and fanboy it up. If you’ve played both games, you’d know better

Wow, what a game breaking bug that is. Not like you can just… reload the cell and take 3 minutes to walk to that same exact spot. Similar to playing a game where you lose hours of progress because even the funcionality of the saving system is broken, which is typically the best way to resolve bugs when waiting for patches (that may never come)

Whoa, I just realized something… Those spiders’ textures fully load before you’re 3 feet away from them… Wow how revolutionary. A shock Kingdom Come can’t even manage it, I mean it is a comparatively smoother experience /sarcasm
