So today i was playing the game on my ps4, and i was at the end of the game where you capture istvan’s right hand, after that the game started loading and suddenly crashed while loading, i went back into the game and this appears “Your savefile is corrupted”, now I lost over 50h of playing due to a crash in a loading screen. Are you kidding me?
unfortunately that seems to be an ongoing issue with a multitude of consumers. I for one have had this issue 4 different times just trying to get up and running, i’ll be 10 to 20 hours in, just messing around, and lose all that content due to a corrupted save. I’ve started over 5 times now. I am no longer playing the game until all this crap is tended to.
Yeah, the problem is I would be fine if it was during other mission, but it was literally the ending of the game, I got so mad when it happened…
This may explain why KCD has dropped to 20/100 on Steam player stats. Perhaps KCD’s new shiny feel on the player base has run its course. Or maybe PC gamers are giving up KCD in frustration for Dark Souls? Returning to play their heavily modded versions of Fallout 4 & Skyrim with unlimited number of saves (THAT WOULD’VE AVOIDED THE OP’S PROBLEM)?
Because either way today – after spending some 2 weeks in top 5 on the Steam list–is the first time Fallout 4 has regained it’s lead (barely) over KCD in ratings. Dark Souls and Skyrim are not too far behind…
If you’re on console, then this confirms this game breaking bug is PC & Console platform universal. Confirming my suspicion WH should’ve released this game as an early alpha. Or at least release it informally to limited section of the fan base (at least to their loyal Kickstarter founders) for BETA TESTING — before ever thinking about an official AAA release price to the public. Doing that at 67% the AAA retail price would’ve been fair to players given the buggy mess the game is now…
##returns to vaguely musing why none of the hard core realist KCD fan boys aren’t trolling this thread##
I am In no way a fan boy of the game. But I can’t help but notice that this game is getting a lot of flak even tho it is playable. Yes bugs happen but that happens to every game at release. You also brought skyrim into the topic if I recall it took nearly 2 months when Skye in released for it to be playable. A month for fallout 4 and neither of them got as much flak. I’ve been playing encountered a few bugs but haven’t been going to hardcore into the game yet. Because well as all open world games that have released have shown us that it takes a month or more after release for them to be fully playable
i ran into one game breaking bug in the over 140 hours or so that ive put in the game. On ps4 i got to the very last mission before you raid the camp on the hill and divish, radzig, and vavra (cant remember his real name) and they ask what youve scouted when the speach dialogue ends it put me in an infinite load time. I tried this over 30 times and it never worked. This was on the pre patched game as i had no wifi. Ive literally had no problems with the game now that i updated it and its even running better. After playing with no update the game in its current state seems to be about like skyrim was after 5 or 6 months of patching. Ive ran into game breaking bugs in the skyrim special edition and fallout 4 just a few weeks ago. People have become so used to bethesdas glitchy shit but will rail anything that isnt by Godd howard. Really bulshit if you ask me.
