TES IV: Oblivion. Jesus Christ did I overhype that game, and oh boy did it break my heart. Thank god for mods.
whatever the trend, it’s going to break. considering how dark souls and demon souls were all basically generic grim dark dungeon crawling click spam with boss battles. complete opposite of this game.

M&B: Warband. Though I would like a multiplayer option (later is fine), it is more important to me that the game to be true to reality and is playable as designed before venturing into mp. I suspect that a later Act will encompass mp and broaden the player base. Can hardly wait!
Yep. I’ll have to say M&B too. Before M&B it was Medieval II total war. 
Since I was a Guild Wars 1 player, the last time I was this excited for a game it was Guild Wars 2.
The last was TES IV: Oblivion but since I knew the witcher saga (2011) The Witcher 3 has been my drug-hype and now (really a lot of months ago) KC: Deliverance is my other drug.

I know, I know… not a fantasy/medieval RPG. But it had some of the best story telling and motion-captured acting that I had ever seen in a videogame, and even before I played it what I had seen in the trailers blew me away.
