Can someone please explain how the combos works? I follow the command prompts and excute the timing as explained in the game tutorial but nothing ever happens. I doing the Up, Right, Bottom left combo that Benard teaches and I’ve only made it work once, but it never works after that. I don’t understand what I’m doing wrong. He says when one blow hits, start the next one. So I wait till our swords connect, I start my right swing. This almost always chains perfectly, so I do it again for teh bottom left. 80% of the time I don’t swing at all, the other 20% I swing what feels like WAY too late, however I know clicked the attack button sooner. It felt like a delayed command.
nevermind, I kinda figured it out. you can’t chain strike they are three independant strikes and they are slow timed. I was excuting too fast.
So if anyone is having problems with the combo I think I figured out the timing, you DO NOT start your next attack as it lands(contrary to what benard says, Thanks warhorse for the misleading tutorial), but rather on the back swing. so like a quater seconds AFTER you make contact and you can see you sword following through. Notes for after though, if anyone else has a better method please let me know.\
another problem with combos: I’m noticing the Fient mechanic will cancel a combo. Using a mouse it’s hard to keep the attack in one spot. I go up, move the right, then move down to the bottom left and in transition I cross over another attack zone. Even though I attacked in all the propper attack zones the fient mechanic was triggered as I moved to my next attack canceling out the combo. This is a coding problem and is not user friendly towards mouse users. Hovever I noticed in practicing combos, one in paticular is very easy to get off with a muse. That is Bottom left, stab stab. Since with a mouse it’s almost impossible to fient a stab you can spam stab repediatly with no mind to timing and the attack with almost always go off.
