Ideas on combat and horse riding / Head Bobbing, Motion blur and Screen Effects

Ok, so i have tried the beta a couple of times now and i can say that the combat needs some work.
First off when i get hit the screen goes almost all black and bobs alot. So the enemy can land multiple combos on me and i can’t do much about it, its really hard to fend it off, and if i do manage to fend it off my stamina is out so he can continue to get combos. I think you need to reduce the blackness and bobiness. Reduce the bobiness throughout all the actions in the game not only in combat. It feels like you are the head of a doll or something wich can’t utilise or move as it wants to.

Also maybe you should look more towards Witcher 3 and Dark Souls combat while preserving your own combat style in your game. Combat in games should allways be fluid and smooth. The downside when you have a system like this is that you loose your freedom of movement. Because you have a lock-on system and also when you get hit etc. When i play i feel very restricted in what i can do with my player and tend to feel frustrated. Feels like im stuck in something wich i can’t get away from. This also aplies to riding on the horse, movement is very clunky. Maybe you should try to make the horse riding in 3rd person, just to try and see how it works. if it works better or worse, because right now the steering with the horse is really bad. Also here you should look to Witcher 3 and Shadow of the colossus. As i said. in a game everything should feel smooth and fluid so you dont feel frustrated and limited by the movement.

One more thing, i think they should remove almost all of the bobbing and the screen effects. I understand realism but this is a game. Maybe if you reduced it very very much or removed it completely combat will probably be more fun. Just look at all other fps games. Good fps games have almost no bobbing and screen effects because you feel ill or get nauseated by it etc etc.
