you will see them from off the roads . I find them at random in the forest. usually leading to a camp or interesting sight or a poacher. Sometime a worn foot paths is there too. the pointy end is the direction and about 30m apart,
One treasure map uses white twigs after you get to the mine opening.
Followed another trail. I was hunting boar in the thin strip of woods SE of rattay. Bagged on at a Boar hunting site. I then noticed the golden twig. Followed a long path. near the end they were almost 1m apart. The trail led to a terraced bit of farm land just north of the wood. If I was at the terrace first I could have back trailed to the boar.
