Love what’s been learned of the ashes DLC implementation. Really like the concept of having unique items enabled through establishment and development of different tradesmen.

If not thru ashes, hopefully an updated/future DLC (or a mod) will enable not just unique goods but also customization via commissioning goods [fancy Talmberg crest on bouche shield via armorer, decorated trim and/or different color choices with clothes via tailor, different hilts etc via engraver-swordsmith, etc]

I want them to release the dlc but would rather finish the game first.

It will take you 5k more hours I bet.

The title of this thread made me think of the Cuman armor quest. At the end he says something like that, but then strangely it goes nowhere.

See I rekon this thread will go everywhere.
I hope that proves of greater value than going nowhere.

I like how with patches and DLCs the game just keeps growing in size/scope and play…

I hafta feel bad for the PS4 crowd as they have a limited and non expandable storage capacity. not sure about XBoxers, if the XB1X can expand the XB1 can

got plenty of memory on PS4. this includes a PS4 with Fallout 4, all its DLC, and a max number of mods… as well as other games

I looked up PS boxes and was disappointed on that front. Sure You could add but store and use games from it no way.
I 'd love to play 2-4 PS exclusives games ( wish they come to PC)but do not want/can’t spend the cash and XBone has a poor showing of g what I consider good games.

You can upgrade the ps4 memory to about 4tb the ssd is pretty easy to get to so I think us console users will be fine  as long as we keep cleaning out bloody fans out of course lol

I have an after market accessory fan for my XB1 so ya I sympathize. the fan goes over the exhaust port . the fan makes a noise when really dirty.

which box? Can you run your games from it. I read you can’t on PS4

Ps4 fan sucks big time. Sounds like a hamster with breathing problems as soon as a little dust gets in there, but thankfully it’s pretty easy to get to

You take the ps4 apart and replace the hdd. You need a 2.5 sata hdd with 7200rpm and then create your files in fat32 format on laptop then once new hdd is in you use a usb to transfer and install. It’s got options to go to 4tb BUT I’ve not seen or heard anyone using one of them as there not readily available in the size etc the ps4 requires but I’ve upped mine to 2tb

so I read correctly, no aftermarket way. almost sounds more worth it to get a gamming PC. especially if your not DIY handy. and don’t care about warranty

Yeah its kinda irrelevant.
DLCs that massively expand gameplay can be miniscule in download size. (Maybe not the steam versions)
Scripts that add story variance/replayability can be tiny.
Some of the best DLCs have been small in download size. (Compared to other graphics/sound heavy updates)

Mods for consoles might be forced to to use existing assets only- so will also prove of insignificant size, yet likely add to game longevity in many and vaired ways.

With game sizes that are now considered normal- I miss the days where well thought out software would ask which texture or sound set a user might wish to install:to save space - yes even on ‘cutting edge’ PCs.

No waste!

Unless having a massive clothing texture cpuld alleviate framerate issues (more so ‘pop in’) by loading from a large ‘database’ of clothing combos: a ‘prebuilt’ layer for people with there myriad clothing combos could prove useful.
It would make sense that consoles/people with bottlenecks/a need for higher framerate could opt for a mode that simulates all rips/dirt etc pre baked in set spots as a concedence towards speed rather than eye candy.

This could allow Warhorse to widen the scope for higher end hardware to also perform cloth physics on more types… if users can customise a few preferences (like selecting texture quality), it makes us happy.

Games that play the way we want.
So we can see the vision of the studio.

No aftermarket way but as for diy rating it’s like a 2 out of 10 all you have to undo is 6 screws unplug old hdd and plug new one in. First make sure you’ve backed up for files from ps4 on usb that is converted to support fat32 files and has a folder on it labelled in capitals PS4. Then once the screws are done plug usb in and turn ps4 on. If your cleaning the fan it’s easy to do the hdd at this point. Whole job takes about 15 mins reboot after done can take a hour. Pretty simple. And as for getting a gaming pc well depends how much you want to spend. I use my pc for SIM games ( farm SIM, jurassic evolution and truck SIM) but wouldn’t dream of playing kcd on it. Yes it looks stunning but a lot of rigs including high end machines seem to have a few problems running the game. My trusty ps4 runs it fine

Thanks, good to know. Was interested in Horizon zero dawn, Zelda breath of the wild and god of war.
Am surprised that by now Sony isn’t using 64 bit.
