I'm tired of how powerful you are in this game

hi,
People constantly talk about how this game makes you feel like a human being. You have to know your place because you can’t kill entire armies by yourself. Not in my experience after 48 hours of playing the game.

I just single-handedly murdered the entire garrison of all the major towns in the game because the game was too easy, and it didn’t even fucking dent the armor I have. I have yet to die to something that isn’t a glitch in probably over 20 hours.

This isn’t a petty fucking humblebrag, I want to know why the game you guys are talking about is so different from mine. In mine, after a couple of hours, I feel like an unstoppable god. It’s as bad as skyrim is. Nobody in the history of the human race has been powerful enough to kill 30+ heavily armed guards at once. It seriously feels like i’m not even playing the same game as everyone on this subreddit is, either people here are exaggerating or my game is broken.

I’m about 15hrs or maybe more in, level 11 w/11 strength & 10 agility and it’s still pretty tough. I made sure not to train much with Bernard (besides the basics like master strikes). I find two or three decent armored cumans can still screw me pretty good. I just wish you didn’t get bad rep for stealth knocking out people. I’m doing the executioners quest and I keep getting the jail symbol after I leave and come back to ratty. Stupid executioner :grin:

Are you playing hardcore mode, or a gameplay overhaul mod. Because I was playing Ultimate Realism Mod and it made it extremely more difficult.

/\ yea, hardcore mode…mix that with some mid tier armor (Lemellar, riveted legs/arms, bell helmet) and you got yourself a challenge. I’ve literally almost been taken out by 3 clothed villagers with axes. I use a merchant sword, min/light/medium armor and it can be really close some times. I would suggest you help nerf yourself

I don’t even mess with fighting the Cuman camps for Robard, I just sneak kill them all for easy mission complete…and I never fight the random band of fully armored bandits, don’t stand a chance.

If you are dressed like an elite soldier with elite weapons long behold you are elite. If you want to play a game like a human, you will be a human, but dress like a god with weapons to match you will be just that. No way you can take 3 knights in an ambush in clothing unless you kill 1 instantly and get very lucky with the second. Try fighting with a normal sword that normal people have, and guess what the 7-8 hits you need to take down a knight never happens as your dead.

I used to think the same. Not to brag, but I am extremely confident in my combat skills, so a lot of fights haven’t been too challenging.

That being said, I’ve seen a few groups of high-level bandits roaming around in 1.6 that I find very challenging to defeat. They’ve actually killed me a number of times. So I think there are some groups of enemies that scale with you

i was the opposite, i was weak af for the first 100hrs or so. then started to get better. maybe you levelled up in the wrong way man.

I agree dev, 1.2 you could kill everyone on earth and not break a sweat. Now its gotten significantly harder, especially if you don’t wear plate everywhere. If you don’t wear a helmet you have a 20-30% of instant death from just an arrow. Still i can see what some people say, if you are fully dressed to kill, you are tough to stop. The problem is, i fought 3 knights in full plate and did win, but took serious damage. If i had my mace i would have done better, but only had a sword no shield. If you don’t have plate though, forget that, you would have to use a bow back peddling or using terrian to kill 3 knights. I can kill anyone with ease if i drink up some potions and wear the super gear. The problem is that is boring, and not fun at all to wear the exact same clothes all the time, plus you lose some of it you are drunk, as i am most of the time.

When you get to level 20 the ambush attacks get real. I had 7 bandits in clothes attack me before, 5 band of upgraded cumans, and the worst i have ever seen was 5 knights in full plate. I ran, as there is just no way you can take down 5 knights in full plate with magedelburg sword, raven’s beak, and stinger. Just no way, those weapons vaporize armor. You have to abuse game mechanics to kill that many.

Exactly. On HC mode even a villager in cloth with a wood axe(?) can parry just about everything. I wear Lamellar, riveted gloves, pauldrons and legs, padded gambeson, padded coif, chain coif, bell helmet, and use a merchant sword and 3 regular joes with crap weapons showed up. I shot one dead immediately, thank god, because the other two parried just about everything. I baited and threw a fake shot, redirected, landed and dropped him with one hit and the last guy I had to actually fight. During all this I got hit a handful of times and my body was damaged significantly as was my head and and was drained of stam rather quickly (granted I just outright fought them thinking it wouldnt be THAT hard)…

edit: my armor may not be in the best of shape, need to repair like half of it probably so that matters too but still.

point is youre right. Play how you want the game to play, dress like a knight and you’ll only find a few worthy opponents.

The level of power we are in feels like Skyrim. You are the level 20 guy, and the others are the deer ready to be one shot, or the skeletons. Instead of shouting you can use the sadist perk.

1st off bro, list what platform your playing on. 2nd, list what armor and weapons your using. 3rd, list what mode your playing on hard core or non hard core.
i will never ever die if im playing non hardcore with the best weapons and armor and thats nothing to brag about. if you think your sweet then wear no armor, if thats to hard for u then wear light armor. Use the worst weapon, play hard core with all negative perks selected and then try and pull that shit with the guards and see how far you get .
