Immersion? Realism? Hmmmm

Immersion does not necessarily mean making a game super difficult. For example if Henry had the ability to have a family Raise a son over time then teach the son sword play etc all that the father has learned then you take over the game as a young teenager and build up adulthood etc etc that would have been great immersion. Just a random thought. Lock picking that’s easier in real life than it is in a game in no way spells immersion. They could have still done this game with a difficulty level on it. Hard core mode medium normal easy or etc. It would not have taken anything away from the gaming experience from anyone. Those that like this mode could have clicked on hard core and enjoyed it as is. With all the bugs and the price I think they severely limited the player choices for realism sake. But yet you have potions for ABC etc how is that real? Hmmmmm I do not hate the game just wish it was more worth my time and money. I actually have been trying to like the game and honestly there are some things I do like but I mean come on. Anyway it is what it is I guess. Just sharing a random thought.

immersion and realism are buzz words. one finds a good number of instances in which people on this forum argue for one facet of realism (sometimes with vitriol) but ignore or disregard another.

wish (more) peeps here were rational enough to acknowledge this. identify the gaps with humility. and discuss prioritization of changes to be made if any

WH is to be commended for not making this another button mashing medieval fantasy. there’s much here and much left to work on (beyond just bug fixes and basic mechanic redesign)

Have you tried playing Assassin’s Creed Origins? Ye, son in the game is so immersive…

Just used that as an example however do you find the bugs immersive? They ooze realism I’m sure

Immersion and realism can be whatever the user cares for them to be, whether the are pro-game or anti-game.

Trotting out the “are bugs realistic or immersive” is just argument. if you have legitimate complaints, you have no need to resort to argumentative baiting. Simply let the bugs you experience speak for themselves, there’s little to be gained by fighting the forum.

Ubisoft create great immersive story, i just can’t handle it and uninstall uplay.
Too immersive for me.

What a joke…
