Immersive Playthrough

First off I’m on Xbox One 1,3

Anyone done with the game and just trying to play/“live” in the game should try to complete the Master Huntsman line.

I just beat it(only problem I had was having to go to jail to clear my name because NPCs I need for this were running from me), I became Huntsman and I have complete access to all doors, chests and bags/barrels(these already have some food in them too) in the store room (I heard bugs where they did the quest but did not have access to the property). I also have 1 bed on the ground in the storage room and two benches I can sit or sleep on(sleeping does look like it’s actually saving, can’t test the bed because I’m currently too rested lol)

There is 1 chest on the main floor that is empty and 2 upstairs that have a whoooole bunch of hunting gear including 40 Master Huntsman swords worth 500g a piece. No world chest but I dumped gear and will see if it stays or gets lost. Also, I have 2 pots of food so for those of you not wanting to eat from pots that aren’t yours even though you can this is great.

I have pics of the chest contents but don’t want to give spoilers unless requested.

Even have a nice little overhang/porch to park Pebbles under (it’s tall enough you can back her right in) to keep her dry and has a door to the property right there. IMMERSION! Lol

Who gives this quest

After you do the battle at Pribtslavitz, Questions and Answers the innkeeper in Talmberg tavern gives it to you. As you go through side with the poachers

Eventually the quest gets failed automatically around the siege questline I’ve heard, so you may need to restart if this quest is no longer available. But again, it’s available right when Questions and Answers starts

Ok yeah i think i got the quest just before i beat the game on my first playline

This is my second and now that this is available and done I’m not going to progress the main line until I’ve exhausted all available side quests and gotten completely bored…then I’ll do more main story to unlock more side stuff; maybe
The game, pre 1.3 anyway, performs way better earlier on

My problem so far is I get the house with meat and veggies and bread all at 100”health” and they’ll stay that way. But if I put meat in there for storage it still goes bad. They should change this so you can buy or harvest/hunt food and store it in your house/chests like NPCs can

i think you can cure meats with salt, try putting salt in the containers

There is already salt in there, but maybe I have to either remove it and re add it or put my own in…I’ll try it! There is a perk that says “cured and cooked meat lasts longer” or some such; always wondered what “cured meat” was since the only cured meat I’ve found has an infinite lifetime

Thanks

I tried this - the issue is there’s a bug where anything you put in the Huntsman houses containers and then remove again flags them as stolen. Until that bug is resolved, it’s more trouble than its worth, unfortunately.

Also, none of the chests are tied to your “storage chest cloud”, so you’ll always have to come back to the huntsman’s house to store/change gear… and it’s not really close to any fast travel point, being on the opposite side of Talmberg from the point. It’s almost always better to just use your universal storage in Rattay Mill or an inn.

I’ve only put stuff in the chests so far, haven’t taken anything out yet so I’ll have to see about thag(so far I haven’t experience any issues ive read about, and I haven’t actually checked this yet). As for fast travel It’s pretty darn close to the Talmberg fast travel location, imo anyway. As for the world chest thing that does kind of suck but I’m not too worried…eventually I’ll load my gear back up, take it to a world chest and leave it there, for now I’m just running hunting mission and trying to do an immersive play where I use my house, open and close doors, park my horse where she won’t get wet, wake up around 4/5 to start hunting and return around like 8/9 or whenever I feel like calling it a night. There are plenty of woods around so food and hunting isn’t hard and I’m trying to sell to vendors in Talmberg and the Inn on the Glade to get their purses to increase and that’s where I sell whatever the chamberlain doesn’t need for the nobles

Stuff I store and remove is not stolen. The only thing “stolen” is meat I shoot and that is because it is for Talmberg nobles/Sir Divish. I have full access to the whole property and storage containers, and nothing I store or take is stolen.

In this picture all equipped gear was in the trunk when I got the property and the Augsburg gauntlets I just took out of the container in the room with the food that I had stored for a few days in game now

So it seems random. Some stuff shows stolen and some doesn’t. Huh. Still that’s whatever to me to be honest.

Yeah, there’s definitely some issues with it. I suppose it’s no big deal unless you submit to searches or spend a lot of time in jail… it’s still a bit annoying though.
