Im currently in rattay, and have huge problems finding any kind of storage. I’v tried talking to the innkeepers at the two inns, but i never get the option to rent a bed. How is this done?

The “inns” in Rattay are not inns at all, even though there are innkeepers. What you see there in Rattay are taverns and these do not offer a place to rest. What you’re thinking of are lodgings which do offer a place to rest. If you look at your map and hover over the taverns in Rattay and compare it to the lodging in Uzhitz, you’ll become aware of the difference in map markings and thus the difference services.
best way is get in a house …knock someone out … take body and remove from the bed…sleep in the bed
The inn outside of the east gate across the bridge is an actual inn. You can tell the difference between inns and taverns by their icons - inns will have a wreath in the icon, taverns are just a mug of ale.
There’s also frequently a wreath hung up somewhere on the inn in the gameworld.
