Insane amount of bugs so far

You really need to stop with the personal insults.

@rataj sure, the game can get out of hand (and $$$ lost) if the vendor keeps adding on. in some cases if the mod tweaks are minor, the risk reward be worth the risk and investment (mimicking elements of relatively simple functional mod).

And yes there are opportunity costs associated with adding a HUD setting, a Talmberg/Skalitz heavy shield, a servant NPC in Pribyslavitz to handle mending/bathing requests, etc. but, these things won’t break the piggy bank or the game. they will however add polish

@Shady, you need to be a game developer or a professional software developer to understand that there will always be bugs, some of them more funny than others, you cannot control bugs, you cannot fight them. That is just software’s nature. More developers working on the game’s code doesn’t mean you will have more bug free code. More people involved in coding doesnt mean better software. Making a lot of money doesnt mean you can hire more people to have better code. It is software’s nature.

I think it is essential for developer to fix the game breaking bug if it happens to that one person, even if others did not have his problem, because there could be other stuff affected by that bug in other player s games.

@savvym do you understand there could be thousands of game breaking bugs waiting to be found ? There will always be game breaking bugs happening to one person or to millions. The key is learning to distribute the limited resources available, AKA devs+time+money. It would be interesting to know what a game breaking is in general. To me a game braking bug is one that makes the game crash no matter what, some random quest not working is not a game breaking bug to me.

I get what you’re saying but it’s oversimplistic in the opposite direction.

All true, but the software change mgmt model WH has employed is underwhelming in some respects

In truth, today WH administered a test to its prospective ‘woman’s lot’ testers. obviously, WH sees value in adding more testers to the payroll. hope regression testing is more effective (eg perhaps by using (more) save files submitted to help desk) and beta testing with users that have spent 100s if not over 1000h of gameplay time

Could be isn’t a useful frame of reference. Bring something more useful to the conversation. When devs acknowledge something was unwittingly removed (bug) as a consequence of a release and then say it’ll be in the next release but it isn’t, that’s not a problem of latent (yet untriggered) bug. That’s a failure in communication if not software change mgmt. when Daniel acknowledges that 1.5 added (abhorrent) popins/textures for console (PS4) in order to improve system/game stability, that’s not a yet undiscovered bug. That’s a vendor that knowingly releases defective software to its users without any notification in the release/patch notes. That’s a brazen disregard for those of us that read that shit to make informed decisions about whether to play or not.

Don’t believe that has been used as a common def of game breaking bug since I’ve been here (since release). The def i’ve seen used is a bug that prevents you from moving forward with the main quest such as Erik hanging out next to the Sasau monastery instead of inside his hut in Vranik during die is cast

If your main quest giver wont talk to you, you can not finish the game, it is game breaking.

This are no personal insults. This are facts.

‘The only crap is you’ is a fact and not a personal insult?

Yes. Read his post and not only mine.

You’re an obdurate galoot

Saying someone has a crappy idea is a far cry from saying someone is crap

And now you are insulting me?
To call someone’s idea crap says he is intolerant and an idiot and when I call an idiot an idiot, it’s not an insult, it’s only the truth.

if you’re interested in the truth please go to a philosophy lecture.
anyway let’s close this before someone gets really upset.
