Interacting with goods,

We could have animations of shop keepers actually taking goods from shelves and giving them to you. Instead of the classic choose-goods-from-lists system.

Well there could be an animation at the end of transaction when vedonr gives you your sack of goods.

But if your point is that you’d like to search for the actual goods in in the shop and it’s shevles to buy it then for the sake of clarity I think choose-goods-from-list is better fitting system.

Good point, with your idea we can have both then :smile:
@ProkyBrambora
Choose-goods-from-list and then we can have the transaction animation of the selected goods. :slight_smile:

Or maybe we can have it as an optional setting ie. Realism mode or Arcade mode.

no, too much effort for very little gain. there are tons of items, and they’re not going to model each individual grain and flower. you seem to have an impression this is going to be a merchant sim, i think you best put that assumption to rest.

@213 @ProkyBrambora perrhaps we can compromise? We don’t need all the items to be animated, but like how Proky had mentioned, we could have just the sacks to be animated. So just an animation of the shopkeeper handing the sack.

Merchant sim? All I requested were wagons and 3d items. Well, to be honest I was looking forward to live a peaceful life in KCD, and the first thing that came up to my mind was to live as a small-merchant.

I like the idea of an animation with a sack. Adds immersion with little effort (Basically it’s one animation played after something was bought).

If you had a fully fleshed out Version with models of every item it would be really difficult for modders to add stuff.

Something like this would make much more sense in a typical open world sandbox game…

And this is not one. The devs want to tell a story about a specific person during specific historical events…

If they did decide to go with individually modelled items, then you could have thieves try to steal items, or be a thief yourself :smiling_imp:
