After the hunt in the Forest Hans is catched by some kumans. I fought them and won the fight. Now I have to free Hans who is bound to the tree. But neither the interaction key “E” nor the controller is working. The same happened earlier in the hunt camp where I had to take the wine and the bacon out of the saddlebag. The save and start again did not help.
This is a common bug and was mentioned in a thread yesterday. Thing is cant remember where.
Have the exact same problem.
Started a new game with 1.5 and now i am stuck in the woods unable to interact with the saddlebag. Seen several other posts with this problem but no workarounds, nor any acknowledgment by WH that they are aware of the bug.

I had the same Problem. Simply wait. After a while, you are told that you missed the Goal and the Story goes on. That’s not Gamebreaking.
If that was the end of it, sure. However, once you reach the point with capon tied up you encounter the same bug again, and the only way to progress from there is then to kill Capon. I would consider that game breaking.
I have the same problem when Capon is tied up but can not untie him. The game does not continue no matter how long I wait and I can not even kill him due to the game blocking any attempt. If I leave the area the game ends with a game over. I have gone back an hour from than to try and fix it but it still will not let me progress. The only possible fix I can think of is to restart and hope it does not happen again.
I heard you have to restart the quest and try again w a diff horse.
The cause of this seems to be the Easy Lockpicking mod. Removing it solved this for me. Re-enabled it again after without issues.
Can somebody else confirm this is caused by using mods? Thank you

When you did it did you restart the quest or did you just remove it and play from latest save?
The workaround Cathode described solved my problem. Last weekend the warhorse team gave me the same hint. Thanks to all.
I was told the same by the support team and restarted from my last save where I had just killed the Cumans. Deleting the Lockpicking Mod didn’t help unfortunately. So I too would like to know how far back did people go? Ironically the lockpicking Mod wasn’t even working for me in game prior to its removal.
You will most likely have to start the quest over from the beginning.

I did it with 1.5 and no horse on PC
Didn’t have any problems before going hunting, or the hunt.
I snuck up on the camp. There was only one Cuman. Took him out with and arrow. Snuck up, looted camp cut Capon loose and we snuck out. The other Cuman never saw us.
