Interesting questions in the survey

I noticed this in the alpha survey.

More racial diversity (other ethnicities)
Don’t miss it at all 1 2 3 4 5
Miss it a lot
More sexual diversity (gay and transgender people)
Don’t miss it at all 1 2 3 4 5
Miss it a lot

Trasngender people? Racial diversity? Seriously? Please tell me you’re not sacrificing historical accuracy to make your game more “progressive”.

Maybe this is to show some evidence about the audience want a more historical accurate game, ans less a social justice warrior pleased game. So if someone is raging about this topic, warhorse has some eveidence against it…

I think the results of this survey will be part of a very interesting talk / panel sooner or later.

What happens if the game gets a sudden influx of backers, and all those backers vote more diversity into this game.
I thought Warhorse didn’t care what the SJWs thought of them?

Have you heard anything on these questions? And what are your views on them?

If there is another outcome than expected, it would be good to know about that. Because its never a good idea to be blindfolded. You don´t need to change the game, but its good to know what the audience think.
In what world would no knowledge be better than knowledge?
If you drive a car by night, you can´t make the tree disappear by taking off the lights. Knowing where the tree is will help you avoid that accident.

lol transgendered…

i’m pretty sure they’re sitting back and laughing at the people who voted for that

Nope, nothing as of now. Honestly I don’t care. I don’t look for transgender or racial diversity content in games (unless advertised), I don’t look for content that’s not advertised in the game’s description at all. You can address these topics, yes. They’re part of the society, but I don’t want to hear activists say that if one or another topic is at least mentioned in dialogues somewhere, that it’s not enough just to mention it, instead it should be experienced in some shape or form because it’s a game.

Was Tetris advertised with a glorious story? Not at all. Is it okay criticise Tetris for not having a story? I don’t think so.

If I want to focus my game on certain aspects, I advertise it that way and nowhere in KCD’s official game descriptions did they mention transgender or racial diversity topics. Therefore I won’t miss these topics just like I won’t miss guns or children.
