Is here house for henry?

There is nothing except save and sleep and some foods

really beautiful location (more than FTA)

no people, only me

So I decided I’ll live here

It is the house of the Waldesians heretics. Don’t speak too loud in the kitchen, someone might hear you.

wat? I’m gonna run away

I prefer the house near (east) of Rovna.
(on the way to Talmberg)
The view is beautiful and the house has chicks, two eating pots and some other extras…

(No “world” chest, but in my last playtrough I haven´t used the this magic chests. My personal realism/hardcore mode. Also no own horse - just steal a horse. So no saddle bags/extra storeplace or teleportation of the horse)

The problem that I found with Pribyslavitz is that it is so god damn far from any other point in the map. Even when using fast travel it is completely out of the way at the far far north. It was already kind of a piece of shit having to upgrade the Rathaus fully in order to even have access to Henry’s chest so it didn’t surprise me that we don’t have a bathhouse to build there. I’d prefer Henry’s final home to be rooted somewhere in the countryside in the middle of the map. Perhaps a castle nestled somewhere in the woods between Merhojed and Talmberg, or between Prybislavitz and Neuhof?

Things that we could add to make this feel more like a home for Hal: a bathhouse for laundry and punanny, a tailor so I don’t have to go all the way to fucking Sasau to have my hose repaired, and maybe even a full house for the Henry—perhaps a wooden castle in Prib proper if it’s not in total violation of historical accuracy?

TBH the lack of personal home for Henry doesn’t bother me. He’s a professional living and working out of his office building. This kind of living arrangement was common among middle class medieval laborers so it’s kind of cool that the Bailiff of Pribyslavitz and his municipal planner live in a hostel a floor above their offices.

A topic many times pointed out and lamented and so true.

asked for and ignored by the devs giving the DLC a feeling of a cash grab rush job.

At least they had a room to themselves and not share with 3 other. like a barracks

Generally, only noble people would have their own bedroom. Besides, Henry is much better off than most - the Uzhitz bailiff sleeps on a bench in the kitchen. And as to adding castles, the KCD map is based on real places (I’ve been there), and there aren’t any other castles, so it would be pretty unrealistic. The devs brought forth the rebuilding of Pribyslavitz by a few dozen years just to give Henry a home, so we should be grateful.

Not exactly immersion and realistic along with several things( magic chests, teleporting horse, food pots everywhere, wrong era clothes, sneak kill that wakes up everyone……) in the game so a few player asked for amenities to make the DLC more home base like not unreasonable ( and short route to it!)

What in particular do you mean by wrong era clothes? As far as I know, the clothes in KCD are pretty well researched.

As for magic chests, etc. Yes, it’s not realistic, but if you want complete realism, you won’t find it in a computer game. There are a few fully functional medieval villages around the world incl. in Bohemia for those who wish to put the hard back into hardcore. Magic chests and teleporting horses make the game playable.

He explains the mistakes in the game.

So a good home/home base is not good game play??

Interesting video, but he is wrong about several things:

  • Firearms: the Hussites were a) a little later and b) the pioneers of firearms. They were so successful because they were using technologies that no-one else was using at the time.
  • It was illegal for non-nobles to wear pointy shoes (over a certain length), so it’s no surprise that there are few of them in the game. There are only very few nobles in KCD, so what if none of them particularly liked pointy shoes? It’s not a big enough sample to draw any conclusions.
  • He rejects waffenrocks when in fact the only thing wrong with them is that in 1403, they looked like something your granddad used to wear. Old-fashioned but not non-existent.
  • Same with bows. They were primarily used for hunting in 1403 although you could still see them used in battles, but it would look like the army was running low on equipment and had to resort to old-fashioned methods.

He is right about many of the details such as exaggerated seams, tears, missing scabbards, etc., but I have an impression that many of these details are not wrong by design but by game mechanics. For example, the tears start appearing when the NPCs clothes are below 100%, so really the mistake here is that they don’t all fix their clothing every evening as they would in reality.
But I do agree completely that Radzig and Hanush look ridiculous.
