Is KCD Going Physical to Stores?

Since I’m a backer it doesn’t affect me but I’m curious. Is the game going to be released in stores in a physical version or will it be sold only through Steam?

Also do you @warhorse people plan on doing any big scale marketing except interviews? Making a few TV ads just before release would really help the game gain some traction!

I keep on pushing this game to my friends even thought it’s in alpha stage… I’ve never been a huge gamer but I just want to say that the hole concept is so A W E S O M E, this game is like no other I’ve ever seen!

I think they are going to put it out physically and digitally. These aren’t the real covers, but I’d assume it isn’t far off from the real version.

Greetings,

Let’s hope so!

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay out of budget! Way too expensive! :frowning: We are no Ubisoft or Rockstar

Rated A for A W E S O M E

How much does a TV ad cost versus billboards?

Im guessing a T.V add would cost a lot more than a billboard.

Has anyone introduced you to the number a shit ton? I don’t the exact numbers but its allot.

Advertising is often the most expensive part of any project Game/Movie/Et Cetera.

Television ads are the most expensive way to advertise especially in multiple countries.

You’re hilarious. And I gathered that advertising is expensive, I’m just curious as to the difference in price between those two forms of advertisement.

Sarcasm? I wish I had some real numbers to share but im to lazy to do a Google search on it.

I don’t know how much regular ad space costs but I know some superbowl ad spaces were 40 Million a spot.

Superbowl is different. I’m pretty sure they could get an ad shown to UK/FR/GE TVs for let’s say £100k, but it’d be low visibility spots. The thing is that a 20 second TV ad for this amazing game would make me google about it. There is no gamer that would see an ad about that and not find more about the game.

Anyway since it’s out of budget…

depends on many factors , such as time slot , what show is on at that time slot . as the more popular the show the more potential viewer and the more potential views the more you have to pay

To McWonderBeast, I actually laughed, so it wasn’t sarcasm.

To Granval, I don’t think Warhorse needs that big of advertising. Maybe the sides of buses and a few billboards like they posted on Facebook would do them a lot of good.

And to TheDivineInfidel, Spike maybe? They’re a pretty big ‘‘everything super charged with testosterone’’ channel, and it did (or does it still?) air Deadliest Warrior.
