Is the alpha update out yet?!

What are your specs?
(both of you)

It would be nice if everybody who posts their FPS could also give info about the used specs.

  • FPS
  • GPU
    • CPU
    • RAM
    • OS
  • game settings

This way it’s easier to compare.

GeForce GTX 850M
Intel® Core™ i7-4710HQ CPU @ 2.50GHz
12,00GB RAM
Windows 8,1

Very High graphic settings: around 16FPS
High graphic settings: around 19FPS

I found out now that there is a driver update ready, maybe increase FPS with updating…

Windows 8.1 Pro x64
Xeon X5650 @ 4.0 Ghz
EVGA GTX 760 2GB Superclocked
12GB DDR3 RAM @ 1600 Mhz
1920x1080

My FPS depends on where I am.
On very high settings I get 20-30 fps. Most of the time it stays within the 20s, like around 23-25.
On high settings I get 25-35 fps. Most of the time it stays around 30-33

Also I’ve noticed once I get the bow from the archer, my stamina would drain by itself if I go into my inventory or map and won’t allow me to shoot unless I walked away. But I’m also able to retry the competition regardless.

Oh, 850M, so you are on Laptop.

I have:
FPS: around 15-17 (Alpha 0.1; A0.2 hasn’t finished downloading yet)
GPU: GTX 670 @ 4 GB
CPU: i7-3770K @3.5 GHz
RAM: 16 GB
OS: Win 7 Ultimate x64
game settings: Very High

My GTX 980 will arrive next week.
I hope it will run better.
But with my GTX 670, I somehow think there’s something wrong and the FPS are too low.
But I don’t know what could be the problem.
Maybe some other people with GTX 670 can post their FPS to see if my values are correct.

So you have basically the same chip like me.
Default GTX 760 has minimal less clock.
How can you get such good FPS and mine are on Laptop level? :frowning:

Yeah, on a MSI Gaming laptop. So I know I wont get the same result as people with the best gaming PC’es. But think it should run it pretty good, like it does with other games like Skyrim…

Intel Core i7-3570K @ 3.40 Ghz
8GB RAM
Radeon HD 5850 1GB
Windows 7 x64
’Very High’ settings
FPS - 15-18 Average

Yes, basically the same card with slight differences.
The 670 has more CUDA Cores than the 760 which makes it a little faster.

I’m honestly not sure why your fps is like that. Do you have anything else running in the background?
Apart from Steam the only other program I have running in the background while playing is Geforce Experience, but that doesn’t really use the CPU at all

I can’t remember exactly what programs were running at the same time when I played A0.1 the last time.
When A0.2 is finally available to play I will try it with everything shut down except for steam.
Also, I will try to OC a little bit further.
I don’t use GF Experience.

Ok, something else.
How’s the alchemy going?

I found the quest but haven’t tried the alchemy yet.

I’m so happy I fell asleep with my PC working in the background  It’s a nice morning gift !

I’m quite pleased with the performance of build 0.2 on my rig:

Vey high settings:
Over 35 FPS outside the village
Up to 30 FPS within the village, when I’m not around buildings
Around 25 FPS or a bit less when I’m close to a building, with a lot of details to be rendered around

i5-3550k , 3.3 GHz
8 GB RAM
Radeon HD 7850 2GB OC edition
Windows 7, 64-bit

However, there have already been 2 crashes in my case, it didn’t happen in previous build (with the same settings).

What? No youtube videos yet? What have you been doing all nght guys? Come on, you ruined my breakfast.

I have a question, guys: Do you happen to know which line of the ‘advance graphics’ section might be responsible for all this funny ‘blur’ effect? I would gladly switch this thing off. I did the same in newest Dragon Age, with good result for both my taste and game performance

I know this is VERY early to talk about, but what do you guess hope/think whatever whil be in the 0,3 update? As I said I know its VERY early but I just cant wait for every singel update in this game since I know how amazing it will be!

the funny line is written like this:

r_MotionBlur 0

Thank you very much, Cerberus.
Not only I like it better with blur effect switched off, but I also have the impression that it enhanced performance a little (around 2 FPS of a difference on very high settings).

As for alchemy : I found the quest and collected some nettle so far ( :grinning: ), but I will be able to check it out later on, when I have more time.

Anyway, I already see quite a difference compared to the earlier version of alpha: Animations are better (i.e. opening the door), I can finally enjoy the water looks on my Radeon etc. I can’t wait to play the alchemy queeeeest :sunglasses:

WHere do I find charcoal?..

If you are reporting on performance, please also add the graphics resolution you are using

Very high, In the village 30-40, in the house, 50-60, 19xx resolution view distance, grass and the third one more than half way up. Overall good performance, would be nice to see it run with MSI afterburner so my fan speed can be monitored. Not a lot of bugs like other people, just chickens clipping through some objects, i shot the archer guy whilst he was sitting on the bench, he stood up and sat next to the bench in the air. Overall 11/10 would buy again!

CPU: Intel i7-4930K @ 3.40GHz overclocked to 4.2GHz
GPU: MSI GTX 780ti 3G Gaming SLI
RAM: 32GB Kingston 1866MHz CL10 HyperX Predator Series
SSD 240 GB ADATA
Mainboard ASUS X79-DELUXE
Win 8.1 64bit

I´ve got everything on Very High and LOD on max and it goes from 45 to 80 FPS, but most of the time it goes around 55 FPS.

60 FPS in the village and 45 FPS in the forest for me.
