Is there a mod that fixes the whole parry, side step thing?

I get that Henry starts with no combat training but my sword skill is at level 8 and my defense stat is at level 5 and I can’t parry, side step, and perfect block because I didn’t do the main story. So I was wondering if there was a mod that fixed this? I looked on the Nexus Forum and didn’t find anything. It doesn’t make sense for the main story to hold these mechanics hostage. Especially since every drunk, bandit, and peasant has the ability to side step me to oblivion.

And for those saying to do the main story that is a non negotiable. I love this game but I will return it before I play the main story. I got this game to plunder towns, rob graves, and free all the horses from their human overlords.

well its just one training you need extremely early on in story, just do that and be done with it :slight_smile:

And what? Get locked up for like 30 years? Yeah no thanks. There isn’t a city that doesn’t have a bounty on my head.

Edit: Also even if I could get to the quest I don’t like doing the story it isn’t fun for me. I would rather not play the game.

Well that’s not a “fix” if it is your choice to just not do what the game ask you to…

Yeah I guess my wording wasn’t perfect. I guess it would be better to say change. Kinda random but I get your point. I am looking for a mod to change the option to make it more enjoyable for my tastes. If you find one and feel like helping me out I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Also in my case it might be a fix because I am unable to go to prison and serve my time. Making it impossible to do the quest but this isn’t a bug report so I digress.

Don’t know if it is possible, nor even where to start searching, but did you tried a save editor ? I think then finding the right value to change to get your skill won’t be easy but that’s the only way I can think of at the moment.

I am working on a save to see if I can mod it in. It seems to be more than just a feat though because I can give myself the feat but I still can’t use the mechanics. Maybe killing almost all the NPC’s to free a bunch of horses wasn’t the wises move. lol

Maybe it requires some flags that the story step is completed ?

I watched a video on how to check flags off in a save and I think it would be easier to restart and do everything all over. lol
