I just one-shotted runt in your fight with him in pribyslavitz, is he supposed to be so easy? im lvl 16 and i have all the gear from the dlc chests and im one shotting most ppl that i fight with. also i think that my lvl is too high for this part of the story but i didnt grind or anything i just did a few sidequests explored like 3/4 of the map and trained with bernard for maybe an hour and im already lvl 16 and most of my combat skills are 15-20lvl. the game was really hard in the beggining hours but it got really really easy quick. im almost 40 hours into the game btw.
edit: also i did the fight 2 times, second time i installed harer enemies mod and i one-shotted him just the same.
- yes you are way too high a level.
- he is not wearing a helmet, so one shotting him with a headshot can be done on a much lower level.
Plus the dlc armor is pretty damn good.
Reposting this, but the primary problem is the scaling of weapon damage from your skill with that weapon type. It’s actually fairly easy to mitigate. The value in question is “SkillToDmgConstA” found in rpg_param.xml. Default is 70, changing it to around 200-300 or so drastically lowers the amount by which your weapon damage rises with skill. There is still some increase, and perks still affect weapon damage, so progression still happens but it isn’t nearly as ridiculous.
You can also make some changes to increase the AI aggressiveness, these values are also in rpg_param.xml. They are “CombatAutoAttackDelayIncreasePerAttacker” (Default is 0.8, I have mine at 0.4) and “CombatAutoMaxAttackDelay” (Default is 6, I have mine at 2).
I also have some other changes, reducing stamina regen rate and increasing block difficulty, but those three values I mentioned are the major culprits for the game becoming too easy at later levels.
You’re close to max level. You have the best gear in the game. You beat someone that isn’t even wearing a helmet. Is it supposed to be that easy? Yes.
If you noobed in with cloth, as many people did, and terrible gear and skills, you could spend hours trying to kill him and never be able to.
Thanks a lot im gonna try changing those values
You kinda did grind. Doing all those side quests, exploring that much of the map, with your skills almost at Max? I got to Runt at about level 9 or 10, with most of my combat skills around level 7 or 8. If you think you weren’t grinding, it just goes to show you how much you enjoyed the content that it didn’t feel like a grind, so kudos to Warhorse on that. But yeah, you did way more content than expected for the point of the game you are at. Plus, preorder gear is really really powerful.
Now i’m level 20, heavy armour gears and i’m just started the main quest to find Ginger.
