Issue with Herbs

To start off, just got the game today and it’s exactly what I want in an RPG. It gets tiresome to exit the tutorial and being nearly unreasonably OP considering the implied skill level (looking at you Fallout 4).

I have a small issue with picking herbs in the game. Some herbs like sage, marigolds, poppies, etc I can pick fine. Other herbs like mint, etc I can’t seem to find a mesh to interact with except maybe once every 20 plants I come across. Is this something that’s been noted and scheduled to fix? I actually really like the process this game provides for herbalism and alchemy (spent the first 90 minutes of playtime exploring to see what types of plant species they included in the game lol).

You can buy herbs in bulk from the herb women in the forest, for very cheap. The monk tending to the sick in the monastery also sells herbs.

I get that and I’ll probably do that for belladonna to make savior Schnapps but I actually enjoy the hunt for different herbs. So it breaks my immersion a little to find something interesting, knowing I can pick it up in theory, only to find I can’t interact with it.

I know this may seem obvious and I truly don’t mean to be insulting. Have you tried to pick them when crouched? I don’t seem to have any problems when crouching, unlike when standing. Whilst crouched, if you circle the plant the prompt usually comes up

I’ve tested it both standing and crouched and also by circling/checking high and low angles. No need to bother with worrying. 'Twas a legitimate question!

yes picking flowers back in Days of Old took extreme skill. not like we do today yo know bend over or squat.

You pretty much have to look at the base of the plant and pick it up. Crouching can help. As the Herbalism skill rises you’ll be able to pick up a larger radius of herbs. It gets slightly less tedious. Also sometimes you have to move around the plant to pick it up, especially when there are two that overlap. God Speed.

Just an advice where you can find belladonna there are some wild gardens in the forests where it grows but mostly I pick it up in front of sasau monastery either in the garden or right beside the entrance bridge

Yes thats also what I would recommend

I have another tip for belladonna location for you. Just take a look in forest directly north from inn located on way from Neuhof to Talmberk.
I went hunting there and found out that there is more belladonna than you might ever need (I just stopped gathering when I had around 100 pieces of it).

Thanks for all the answers!
