Items in chest disappear

The Items in my personal chest in Rattay have disappeared. (spoiler)I heard that you could become the game warden in Tamlmberg by com pleating Sheep in Wolfs Clothing. I had to reload a save half a dozen times from several diferan’t previous saves before I got the desired outcome. I’m not sure if that is relevant but it was just after that I noticed my stuff was gone. I’d been Robed! That would be a cool sub plot but I think it’s a bug.
Three questions

  1. Is it a known issue?
  2. Any chance it my stuff might reappear?
  3. What if anything can I do to limit this outcome in the future.

If it’s not a regular thing, it’s not a huge issue for me i. I’m still having a good time getting more stuff :slight_smile:

One more thing. In place of my items there is now:
4 bandages
1 bludgeon
1 old working shirt
1 red hose
1 red-yellow tunic
1 scarf
1 townswoman’s dress

I just bought a new bed and all my stuff was in the chest. problem solved.

If on PC, all you have to do is close the game, wait a bit, and log back in, and chests are normal again.

It has happened since launch, as soon as you become the master huntsman, and get the lodge. It can happen to any one, or even many of your chests at once as well.

Only once have I had logging out and waiting not work, and in that case, it was late so I just went to bed, and in the morning, all chests were back to normal.
