As someone who watched tons of anime I must say that what comes out of the japanese production nowadays is mostly bad.
Some of the older series or movies were actually really good like Akira, Jin-roh or Mijazaki movies and from series Berserk
Also mangas are always better than anime. Same as books are always better than movies.

I think that culture of Nippon is degrading.
I hope so my friend, but who knows.
Feudal Nippon was a land of high moral, loyalty, honor, valor and courage.
How could Nippon swap the noble Heike-monogotari to those manga and anime?!
I guess being on the losing side of a world war does things to a country.
