Just started playing on PC in 4K

I just started playing Kingdom come Deliverance on my gaming laptop.

I’ve got everything on Ultra, with the exception of Shaders on Medium, and shadows on high. All three draw distances are about half way each.

I’m running at 4K, with G-Sync enabled.

Performance is very smooth at about 32 FPS average.

Adjusting shaders shows HUGE improvement in performance!

Obviously 60+ FPS is not a problem at 1440P. But I prefer 4K and, it’s surprisingly smooth at even 30 FPS with the help of G-sync.

I do not see any sacrifices of image quality with shaders turned down. Only much better performance!

Anything under 60 fps is unplayable for me, 1080p is the bare minimum resolution imo.
So I play with everything on medium and maximum draw distance in 1440p to get consistent 60 with no drops. Too bad the game doesn’t support 120 or 180 fps.

I’m happy to see new games like this come out! Its great!

It does support 144hz, or higher I think. Just type it in on the command line.

Well This is not a competition game. Or high FPS first person shooter. I normally require 60 FPS my self… But there’s something about this game, even 15fps feels like 30… and 30 feels like 40+ fps

Someone has to agree, this game feels very smooth at a lower frame rate than most games normally do.

Anyone playing this game, OVERCLOCK your hardware to the maximum lol!!

I’m trying 1440P so far, Ive got everything on ULTRA, with shaders on HIGH. (60) FPS seems steady in almost every scene! Its very smooth. In some random places it will dip to 50 which is totally fine with me!

My laptop GTX1070 has a few more cuda cures and ROP’s than the desktop version. But, so far ive got it at 2,000mhz Core, and 9,800Mhz memory. It just kills it in 1440P. And its impressive to manage 30+ avg at 4K.
Its a pretty fast laptop squeaking past MAX Q 1080’s, and even besting some full laptop 1080’s. Anyways, great fun it is playing this game on it!

This is really a slow paced game, so 30FPS at 4K is really good. and it looks just stunning!

I love the game though, I just got my horse given to me for saving SIR’ whats his name that I saved in the woods lol.

Elder scrolls 6, or Bethesda? whenever it comes out it really needs to step up the graphics detail!

Just figured id chime in, the game is great! GREAT JOB!

What do you mean under 60 fps is unplayable? You aware that the game is smooth even around 30 fps right? You’re saying that the vast majority of players play the game at unplayable fps  Or y0u just have to justify your great PC

I said it’s unplayable for me, not in general. Ever since I got used to 180 fps I’ll notice dips to 150 or so, if I play things with less than 60 fps I just get a headache because my brain notices the flashes and cuts too much. It’s because of my PC that I can’t play low fps, but not to be able to justify it, I don’t think I need to justify my PC to anyway except myself. A lot of movies give me a headache too now, so the negative point is that I have a hard time watching movies now.

The next Bethesda game will be on the same engine as Fallout 4, so still the same graphics, but Bethesda games are played for their story, setting and glitches, not the graphics.

He’s playing at a low resolution. Most likely 1080P with tweaked settings with a FPS to match his outrageously high refresh rate. I’m sure a gtx1080ti and a 5Ghz modern i7 will get ya there.

But I thought 240Hz G-Sync was the latest and greatest now… hmm

When Oblivion came out on PC it was revolutionary! Top tier gpu even struggled to run the game maxed out at 1280x1024, or even 1024x768 on PC.

The graphics, and physics were the best around.

When this game came out, I had (2) freshly released Nvidia 7900GT’s in SLI on a AMD a 64 opteron which just destroyed intel at the time.

Oblivion was the first to introduce HDR, and BLOOM lighting which were DX10 features.

Everyone complained about how hard it was to run, just like this game lol. “kingdom Come Deliverance “

I’m hoping Bethesda does the same thing again. With elder scrolls 6.
