Yeah pretty sure other Knights carried those thin needle type daggers to either finish off opponents who wouldn’t survive their wounds, sort of a mercy thing. Or they were used on follow knights/nobles who they didn’t plan on or couldn’t ransom. They would stab them under their left armpit right into the heart, hopefully quick and semi painless

It would most likely be a misericorde, but there are lots of different daggers just as there were sword types.

Bollock dagger
Basilard dagger
Misericorde
Rondel

Your quote in the books, clearly that knife was used to stab the horse then threat the knight who is still under the horse, not knife vs sword.

And which battle that those towsured clerks throw themself into battle while wear no armor and armed only knives.

There is a scribe in Uzhitz, maybe he can give you some guidance.

Weren’t there special daggers for stabbing via gaps in plate armor? I experience like there need to be a kind of completing pass for armored fighters, where you can learn the uses of the knife . It’s presently unrealistic to take down an armored opponent with a sword.

Great ideas man hope they listen
