Keeping peace issues

this mission continues to give me issues, the first is that after completing the dice game it completely bugs out making it so that the player cant progress at all, hes sat there staring at nightingale infinitely. The only resolution I found was to reload the save and just exit the dice game mid-match.

From here it gives the cutscene telling the player about closing up the taverns and as soon as the player receives the torch the game is giving me an infinite loading screen, which in my opinion is simply game breaking as the player cant even do anything about it.

i have the exact same issue anny resolution?

get a save point to just before you sit down then just keep trying, eventually it will let the player proceed. took me a few tries, i even turned my settings right down to make loading easier. when youre talking to nightingale at night dont skip the talking scene.

Wanna chime in and say I experience the same thing right now, this quest is buggy at the end of the dice game.

Edit: Luckily the savepoint is right before this, the second time I won (the difference being I chose the first dialogue option of being “upset” by the guards laziness )

I cant even join the watch. It says I have to get gear, which I already did. Any help?

WORKAROUND: NO NEED TO LOSE ANY PROGRESS

Late to the party but I found a way to fix this without losing any progress by reloading!

So if anyone finds this via google this is what to do:

1 Stand up from the table
2. Save the game (I recommend to not save over your latest one should this fix not work for you)
3. Kill yourself (Easiest way is take the wooden stairs to the armory and just jump off)
4. Continue game, your save you just made will load
5. Sit down at the table

Dialogue will initiate as if this was the first time you sat down. Just play another game of dice and (for me) this time it wont get bugged after the game. If it gets bugged again just try this fix again until it works. (some people suggest holding esc while playing dice to get it to work)

Enjoy not losing your progress!

I was having the same issue,

Drop down the graphic settings to lowest
Change window mode from Borderless to Fullscreen

I also skipped all the conversations and hole game too.

Good luck.

hey @Psychonaut thank you for the workaround! I’m on the PS4 and this was the only thing that worked to get me past this area in the quest.

Same issue here. Thanks for solution - Loading last save and canceling the dice game did the trick and triggered cutscene.

Dude @Psychonaut I could kiss you! I went around and did A LOT of quests and looting and was worried that I would lose all my progress (and my massive stash of Groschen). But your advice worked. THANK YOU!

Refuse to play the game and it worked for me
