Kingdom Come: Deliverance requeriments

I have the following:
CPU: Intel Core i7-5500U 2.40GHz
RAM: 6.00 GB DDR3
GPU: Nvidia GeForce 930m 2GB
Is my laptop good enough for running Kingdom Come: Deliverance?

My guess would be no, that setup sounds straight masochistic for playing KCD.

Do not even try.

Ye might be in the ballpark of the tablet experience that Vajra himself demoed at some point. (On intel 630 graphics I believe).

Even of you could shell the game to minimum, you would probably be limited in areas and aspects of the game…

Now if you used that same machine as a steam stream receiver; whichever machine renders the game best could be made to make that machine play way better than anyone would guess.
(This requires access to another, more powerful machine)

To be fair; that rig would play tens of thousands of PC games well.
Probably would outpunch an xbox 360 in a ring fight too.

As for KCD- the 5500U, the U defines ultra low power CPU (a desktop i5 would probably smash it to pieces, although I am unwilling to waste my time checking)
It probably doesnt have any aspect of it equivalent to what we consider an i7 to be…

The ram is an odd amoumt for a pc which tells me it wpuldnt be in an optimal configuration (speculation, but hey…you ask)

And the video chip hasnt trained for the marathon that is top tier gaming so would really strain it to try.
It might keep up with the pack for the first 100m, then it would stop for a tall glass of water.

Most gamers have different expectations on what is acceptable performance.

Sometimes jist seeing something running is enough to elicit happiness.

Many many years ago I foumd a compaq armada laptop on clearance in a david jones (retailstore).
It was so cheap vs what it jad (armada is flagship, so whilst I wouldnt normally consider compaq, top of the line is still top of the line (it was before HP aquisition and so compaq still had top of the line products, not yet being relegated to HP machines…)

It had a 9000 series radeon chip.

I enjoyed putting doom and morrowwind on it (both games with box statements saying WOULD NOT RUN ON LAPTOPS).

Its screen res was crazy high cutting edge.
It was impressive just seeing the games fire up.
With minor tweaking, playing on battery, this system could deliver a very satisfactory gaming experience.

Something many video cards cease doing when ‘on battery’.

The KCD codex would be very readable, and there is many hours of time to be found in that part of the game.

Of course unlocking the codex…

It was eating away at me I may have given bad advice, so I did check…

The 5500u is akin to my first gen i7 laptop
It has more punch (50-100%) than my older core 2 duo laptops.
(For the record I only keep those laptops due to how worthlesss they are to resell)

On the charts I checked it was a wee way down from some i3 parts.
Definately dont bother with KCD in any fashion other than steam streaming etc…

Thank you you were most helpful!

are KCD req higher than GTA V? Because I can run GTA V on medium settings

I wouldnt know about GTA5 requirements; but GTA was designed with high framerate action in mind.
It has a lot more headroom for running worse that a present gen console before it becomes unplayable.
Plus it is hyperpolished.

Graphically they are not the same beasts in the slightest. (Rectangles eg buildings, are easy for computers to draw, as they comprise a few triangles)

KCD is optimised for attention to detail and aimed for a low framerate with much more triangles devoted to foliage and wildlife (very hard to do right).

It does get back to ’ what framerate is acceptable’.

Once KCD settles a little more and has some more polish (and a few known framerate killing processes are neated or removed), lower end systems will perform noticably better.

GTA5 is one of the best examples of PC optimisation (cannot say same for all earlier GTA games).
The budget qas phenominal and they even used hardware tricks appropriate to both video card companies to squeeze every last iota.
That rarely happens.

Thank you very much, you really helped me understand many things.
looks like you know a lot of things in this field, are you working in it?

 I’ve dabbled.

In primary school I was the only kid who really knew about computers (having maintained pre ‘graphical user interface’ environments with a range of menu management systems, and built platforms from the ground up to work easily. I made batch files to cover typos in my command line interface use.
By year7/high school- computer teachers always checked facts with me.
I’m no Wozniak. A lot more consumer/business systems focused (ethics being my thing), probably more like Steve Jobs’.

As an early eighties PC user group supporter, I rocked up to a meet (Norton himself giving a talk).
I left embarrased of my casual clothes and skateboard under my arm. (Everyone else at least double my age and in suits).

I did start my first PC business (with much success)@ sixteen years of age.
If you can imagine a sixteen year old renting a brand new premise and installing five phone lines for support and bulletin board service access for my customers- crazy times!

I dont consider myself the best at anything - I keep an open mind and trust their are many specialists that can outperform me.

I have been a 3D model artist and animator.
I even worked in small scale teams on a large historical recreation project and helped build the interface and tools to make ideas a reality.
I
send propositions/ ideas off to most major platforms.
I have seen the fastest turnaround from Apple in implementation of a couple of my suggestions.

At the moment I’d love to do a (large scale/professional) project for Kingdom Come.

Given my relative boredom being stuck in a remote location presently; probably just going to do a visual novel/fan fiction project to pass the time.

Computers have two primary aspects: hardware and software.
Presently I see myself as an A- with regards to hardware, and a B+ with regards to software.
I have a phobia of printers (more so their cost of consumerables, hence I never use them).
I’ve lost a decade or so to giving support via call centres and managing service departments, so now I just see myself as a jack of all trades.

My hobbies are generally tech based. (A+ with audio/home theatre and A- with photography).

I am an aquarian dragon and have kick butt ideas that are ahead of the times. Like many; Id love to earn my crust from creative pursuits. I folded my IT career recently with the launch of win 10.
PC service industry is no longer ethical to support in my eyes. World is going for ‘throw away/buy again’, and Windows/Microshaft is just the sort of company that will take us there… (I am a jaded opinionated prat)

Thanks for listening

TL:DR Thanks for skipping

That wasnt the smiley I was aiming for.

Wow, I wish you good luck and thank you because I am 16 years old now and I feel like a loser comparing my self to you :grinning: although I can code in many programming languages and I am learning game development with unreal engine 4 and 3D modeling with 3Ds max but I know nothing about hardware and other things.

I did not skip a single line

Then you are ‘ahead’ of me at equal age…

You have a focused skill set and a path before you.
It will give you ability to be an independant; to choose your workmates and set your hours.

Best thing is you will break free of the typical work lifestyle (an hours work for an hours wage).

Making a product capable of digital reproduction and distribution is pure profit.

Hardware will change and the rules of the game for the last fourty years are not the future.

Apple has the best hardware engineers in the world and the biggest hardware sales base (samsung, sure, but it is a different beast), built to utilise their own operating system.

iOS is a subset of OS X/Mac OS- the best consumer operating system in the world.

It was built by 'Jobs in his time away from apple, and when they needed a new OS, he pitched a great game and saved his old company.

That OS is hardware agnostic and actually allowed apple to transistion from power PC processors. (Their intent at the time was probably to go back).

The tightness of their platform and the efficiency is insane.
The gpu grunt in an iPad is very impressive.

Given unit install base and their market demographics- its probably where you should focus your efforts if you want to be independant.

If iOS expands in capability (something more powerful hardware is allowimg them), they could wind up with the worlds most common computing platform.

Intel know this and have been desperate to build processors for their iPads for awhile…

Unity / Unreal and your language skill sets should see you right.

Best thing is talking to people (forums etc)…
I act like I am a child, still, in life.
My nan at near ninety still swore ‘everyday is a school day’(without any actual swearing).

Its my familys’ creed.

Cheers.

(Btw 16!? This game is 18 age rated… do you cover over your eyes? Ears?) (Rhetoric)

Thanks for smiles.

Whilst my initial post may not have sounded really positive about the rig… (i7 5500u…), I was just being technician clinical.

That tech is awesome- its design is for power efficiency.
I love performance per watt.
Its why I consider Killzone Mercenary on PS Vita one of the best examples of modern games making…

That rig should have excellent battery life and strong performance (a hard combo).

Nice kit!
