Kingdome deliver on gogo

So I here much people talk about buy a gog code in place of a steam code. So what is the difference between it. Have it somting what you don’t get on steam or what. Beacus I don’t see much of a difrent between a gog one and a steam on. What are the + point and what are the - point of a gog one.

positives

  • you dont need internet connection to play
  • you dont need to login to some client

negatives

  • you dont have such big community like steam
  • you dont have steam workshop

So not realy a difrent ?

the game is the same
on gog you just dont need to login to some client (although you can, with gog galaxy)

Thanx then I won’t buy the gog one

DRM free games are a big deal because that’s how a developer shows that he trusts his community and he is not going to blame “piracy” for every problem on earth. The biggest plus you have is that you actually own the game while in steam if something happens and steam decides to close then rip your games because you don’t own them even digitally.

Actually, there are a number of games on Steam that have no DRM. “Kerbal Space Program”, for example. With them, Steam is only a sales and update system, but you can play them offline without even running Steam if you want.

Steam though is not a drm-less platform. Of course there are some games there without DRM. Just saying that I prefer when games are DRM free and that’s something that whenever we can, we should applause and support it. I bought The Witcher 3 in GOG because I felt so much respected when CDPR decided to release it without DRM,in a period where piracy was the black ship from a lot of media and denuvo protectors were spamming.

Some of that is true steam have some rules about there game what i realy don’t like. Bud so far I now if steam takes a way a game then it must be fore a good reason and most of the time you get the money back to. And you can play offline you only need internet to start up the game if you can disconnect your internet after you have start up the game.
