Will various versions of Knight armor sets be featured in Kingdom Come: Deliverance?
There are a variety of types of maille, at least one style of white harness and some brigandine types (including something promised more closely related to historical harness than the ‘movie/game’ type seen in the demo).
Knights would use most of these different types according to their requirements (e.g. a brigandine was more likely to be worn while travelling, as it didn’t not require the assistance of servants to wear, while coat of plates was fastened in the back (making at least some assistance necessary to buckle the straps). White harness, fitted in several parts requires more assistance to don the torso armour than either of the coat of plates or brigandine, but it is fractionally lighter (lacking the heavy canvas and ‘dress cloth’ facing, and some of the overlapping metal required by the flexible parts of the brigandine types and the rivets that fasten the many plates together and to the coat). All three offer similar levels of protection and mobility when worn however, at least in the custom sized and fitted varieties worn by the nobility and professional soldiery, if not in the general munitions grade equipment of the militias and mobilisation armed forces.
At this time however, much of the soldiery had hard torso armour and helmet and could have either full vambraces or couters and chains to protect the arms from cuts, so the distinction from men at arms and knights was mainly one of social status and wealth (and the ability to pay for customisation/quality/ornamentation) rather than a huge difference in equipment.
In short: Yes, we will have a lot of differen Armor varieties.
