I play on pc. I had a problem where Kornelius in Rattay would not wake and I could not recruit him as my trader for From the Ashes dlc. I picked his pocket and he awoke and I was able to recruit him at that point. Just had to pay the guards off. LoL. Totally worth it. Hope it helps someone if you are stuck.

I K.O. him and carried him out of the lower area and dumped him above and let Antonia revive him. Lucky as no guard saw this.
