More than once, I snuck close to a sleeping guard…had the L2 button show as an option…kept pressing it nothing happened. He then woke up and beat me/caught me.
Plz fix (this is for the side quest where I need to rob a guard of 50coins)
Had the same problem on PC. Right after you begin your attack you have to “attack”. Clicking with the right mouse button (stab) several times worked for me.
Edit: Just to be clear, in my experience the button mashing is not on the “knock out” button. Try this, press L2 once to start the knockout and then follow up with R1several tomes until the knockout is complete( from what I read rhis is the jab/stab button). It doesnt always work, i think you must tome it correctly, loke riposte.
have the same problem. and now that i have stealth kill and overcompensate on L2 (due to nonresponsiveness), i’ve snuffed some people out i didn’t intend to
I’m no thief or coward, so I fight people head on…but I am curious how the mechanic works (for future playthrough, where i’m less scrupled mind you).
Do you HOLD L2, or repeatedly tap it?
From my PC experience you hold to start a silent kill (once the perk is unlocked) and press once to start a knockout move. Press jab/stab repeatedly to finish.
