Large scale battles

I wonder how they’re gonna make the large scale battles, maybe it gets arranged in the single player? Could be awesome if there would be a massive online battle.

It would be cool but if I’m not mistaken they are not going to give us multiplayer in any form.

Didn’t they say something they will MAYBE create a Co-op multiplayer? I think i’ve read that somewhere.

Hi Guys ,

Warhorse mentioned something about multiplayer in the KickStarter comments : There will be no multiplayer when act I will be released , they will think about that only on a later stage , considering that they want to keep focus on the Single Player campaign for a proper development.

I would really like to see if they add Co-op to Act II and III, but for now they said that there wouldn’t be any multiplayer within Act I.

I’m wondering how the console hardware is going to handle large scale battles. Short draw distance maybe? Meh… worry about it later. Focus on the Linux/Windows versions first.

I dont know why ppl are still arguing about getting some kind of multiplayer when Warhorse team already said there will be none -.-

Here’s something that I asked on the Facebook page:

One of the features you propose that I’m most excited for is the ability to “Lead the charge in enormous, open field battles and sieges.” My question is, how open and un-scripted will these battles be? For example, if I do multiple play throughs, will the battle always be the same? I know that you have a story to tell and therefore the “ending” may always have the same result. But more so what I’m getting at, is the battlefield our playground or will we fight the same 10 (or so) soldiers through each play through? Will the same “background” NPCs always die?

The only thing I hope is that it lasts for some time and is random (as much as possible). I would just appreciate a hard fought struggle through hordes of men to reach the endpoint. Not to say I want it to be like a Skyrim where you’re a demi-god and can take on 10 plus guys at a time. Basically as your army goes, you go. If you try to move past the lines and take on multiple guys and be Rambo, they would do what would most likely happen. Flank you and cut your head off.

Multiplayer really isn’t my thing. I like to enjoy the game at my own pace and set my own house RP rules, so if it’s multiplayer than I would need to become competitive and use every tactic I know to fight on even ground. To me that really changes the feel game for me, so if there is multiplayer battles then I hope it won’t be forced and not be balanced toward that.

No need at all to worry, it’s been made well known that the PC and Linux versions are getting focus first, don’t know why you mentioned consoles in your opening post since you clearly despise them and their consumers, unless of course you’re trying to be uncivil on purpose?, I’d hope I’m wrong but it looks that way.
