I must confess I was… dissapointed to say lightly when I just booted the launcher up to discover that the launcher won’t update, nor will the game. I bought the game six weeks ago and it worked then, I left the game alone knowing it was in development and wanted to see how it evolved. Now I’m stuck with a shittier older version and the website has no discernible area for me to download a NEW launcher…

You can just download the new launcher from your profile manually and it should update the game.
@Colonel_Klink this counts not for your right now, we need to know how you installed the game first, please.
I went to the main website, bought the game on the website, downloaded the launcher, and clicked on it when it downloaded to initiate the install.
Resolved it. Had to go through my email to find the ORIGINAL confirmation email of my purchase to get the link to log into the website to download the launcher.
You should have a big button on the website that says “log into your account” btw. This all would have been avoided if you didn’t rely on users just randomly clicking on things (apparently how you log in is a confusing, rather hidden icon in the top right of the screen that looks like its more associated with changing the website language, NOT logging in to download the game I bought)
