Learning whilst playing?

Hiya Folks,

I had noticed while playing this game, I am actually picking up info along the way…

Gaming whilst learning, talk about killing two birds with one stone!

For example:
- Combat: You actually start to pay attention to body movements before a strike. The body will move before the land blows giving you those few milliseconds to react. This actually applies to actual combat fighting.
- Herb Gathering: I find myself recognizing plant types that are around me in real life.
- I’m sure there is more!

Games that expand your knowledge whilst playing is a win for me, It feels if i’m not “entirely” wasting my time.

Have any of you guys learned anything new while playing Kingdom Come: Deliverance, that applies to real life?

Alchemy is where I learnt the most

Well, they based the combat system on real life, simulated through the help of experts.
I’m not sure if I’m ready to go around swinging a long sword though!
I think the most you learn is about history and life in midieval Europe, for sure.

I can’t say I’ve learned much about real-life, until maybe I do get into a sword fight after the apocalypse.
I agree though about learning - I’m a huge history buff, and I love the Codex. I keep my laptop open to Wikipedia while I play, and a new fact, location, etc. in KC:D can send me there for long periods of time - just put the game into the inventory screen, and read read read.
I think I read somewhere that there was a plan to print the Codex, but it was dropped as too expensive. Shame - I’d pay serious $ for it, not just for the facts, but the graphics.
I’ve been denigrated as a Fan-Boy, but I don’t care - I’m absolutely loving this game. Can’t wait for more.

Watching body movements also applies to MMA fighting

remember back when the Alpha came out…
after playing that I started noticing Nettles all the time. Without thinking about it I was looking for them when out in nature.
