From what I’ve read in a few guides the level cap for this game is 30. I’m just a few pixels away from main level 20 with my Str, Agi, & Vit all at 20 while speech is about 25% away from being capped. All but drinking and reading are maxed for my secondary skills. I have just 5 missions left in the game (all sidequests completed) so I don’t see how I’ll be able to reach level 30 and get the Level Cap achievement. Is the cap actually 20 and I just need to finish speech and the game to get it or do I need to keep going with reading and drinking as well? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Level cap is 20. The achievement unlocks when you reach 20 as main level. The skills that count in main level are only the 4 primary skills (str, agi, vit and speech). Reaching level 20 in other skills are optional.
Thanks for the info. Looks like I have about 300 more points in speech to go before reaching the cap there but not a lot of conversations left in the game. Any advice on how to increase speech? I’ve tried haggling but the progress bar doesn’t move when I do it.
Talk with every NPC and try to use all available option (the white ones has to become grey) and use persuasion, intimidation, etc…
There should be some book that increase speech level, look here (I don’t know if the positions are correct)
Your speech skill is increased slightly when performing most any speech/talking actions with anyone. You gain experience when selecting a white text response with any NPC. Generic questions towards generic NPCs will still yield speech experience as long as the speech option is white and not greyed out. So take all opportunities to level speech by asking everyone everything, such as Where is the trader?
